This time of year you are talking about in California can be unpredictable. Weather can be good and can also turn dismal in a hurry. I'd be prepared. Rain is going to be something to consider. Bring (or buy) ponchos and/or umbrellas. Bring shoes you can walk comfortably in even when wet. Temps range from the 60's to mid 70's during the day, but you will notice in the park that at sunset, the temps drop 10-15 degrees. Have something warm to put on, especially for the kids. best advice is layers. it will still be warm during the day but will get cool in the evenings. i would wear shorts or capris with a t or tank and then bring a long sleeve and a sweater in my bag. and of course comfy shoes - Pixarprincess  531.4 #215 10:10AM

Living in LA all my life, september and October can still be warm, very warm at times. Like around 80s-high 90s on certain days but it gets cool at night. Good 10-15 degree difference. So most fall nights range in mid 60s-low 70s. Last year around Halloween it was very cool and colder but it usually is a warm day here in October.
