I vote Christmas, there are days during Halloween where the park closes early for the Halloween party that is a separate ticket where as Christmas is pretty much normal hours - bigben1138

Christmas is sooo magical and they have the haunted mansion decorated like nightmare before Christmas so if you go in December you will still get a little halloween treat - MelB

If i had to choose only one.( been to both, more than once ) I would choose Christmas for sure. You will never forget how beautiful and magical Christmas time in Disneyland is. Go for Christmas. Be sure to take a picture in front of the castle fully lit! - bodack000

Halloween is more relaxed then Christmas time. Less crowded it feels. If you don't care about people then pick the holiday you like more of the two. Alot of October's hours are already posted online. Check closures too. See which of your must rides are down for refurb. - FigmentPigment
