I know this has been brought up before, but it's happening more & more... Please do not post pics of people you don't know, unless of course you have their ok. There have been several pics posted of the couple who like to ride Peter Pan every night. They are being hunted down just so that a pic of them can be taken and people are now commenting that they're going to try to mess up their routine of riding Peter Pan. Has anyone ever thought that this could have a special meaning to them? Think about how you would feel if complete strangers were following you around trying to get pictures. Let them be guys, enjoy the rest of the park and create your own memories.
Thank you for this post. I wholeheartedly agree. - PrincessDuckie

I am with ya! Totally agree! It's one thing to be curious. Another to stalk them, take photos of them without their consent, and interfere with their magic. - MiggyMouse

I don't know famous people, does that mean I can't take their pictures when I see them? - AndrewJ

I agree....I would not be very happy if people set out to ruin my traditions while at the Park....not very respectful - AuzRoxUrSox

They are aware they are suddenly being stalked and are not happy about it. Please help keep the Mouse Wait reputation a good one.

Wow. What kind of people would do that? That's horrible. And I agree, I would never want my picture posted without my permission, but it seems like some people just don't care for certain rules or don't think they apply to them. There always has to be someone that ruins the fun for people. Thanks, LBChica, for bringing it to MWs attention! :) - AndReallyBadEggs

I think sometimes we forget that the people we see on our computers or in chat rooms like this are actually real human beings and they need to be respected. It may seem like it's funny or no big deal but it can be very scary to the people being stalked. Please keep this bumped. - Hesatalkintome

Is the problem with the photos or with people hounding this couple? Taking photos of people in public without their consent is legal in this country seeing how it's incredibly difficult to take pictures in public without strangers ending up in them. saying we shouldn't post pictures of strangers would ban almost every picture posted here, and they're all legal. - Sheilamo

It might be legal but it is RUDE to hound this or any other couple. Let them have their privacy. They have their reason for coming every night. They are being stalked! That is not legal. - sewgirl

In case this was directed at me- I have always wanted to be the last to ride Peter pan at night even before I knew about this couple. I agree that people should not be stalking them/taking pictures. However, why should one persons desire to do anything at the parks be shut down just because someone else was doing it first. Disneyland is EVERYONE'S land so everyone should be allowed to pursue their happiness. I don't have the oppurtunity to stay at the parks till closing each night and last week was my first opportunity to try to close the ride. Yes I did see the couple but there was no disrespect towards them in anyway. - MayBie

@Maybie sorry my remark not directed at you, but at people taking pictures of unknown kids etc without their parents permission. I agree DL is everyone's park and if you happen to be last in line then you should be able to go on last. Just seemed all of a sudden this poor couple is all over the place. - sewgirl

I'm shocked that people are actually hunting this couple down. I personally would be really upset if someone posted my picture without my permission and even more upset if I was being followed! It's really sad that it's bad enough that the couple is aware of it. - luvmygreenarmyman

@Sheilamo It's understandable that crowd pics are going to happen. I never made reference to any legalities. @MayBie Not directed to you at all. There are people purposely going after the couple to get their pics. As Baloo posted above, they are aware and not happy about it. - LBChica

I think i'm missing part of the story (it's easy to miss posts here cuz there are so many), but if the couple is getting a lot of unwanted attention due to posts here, it's definitely time to back off. - Sheilamo

oh never mind, it's my own lack of reading comprehension that made me confused. I see what you're getting at. Just ignore me then, I obviously need some more sleep. - Sheilamo

I can't believe people posted that they want to purposely ruin their night. I was shocked when people kind of congratulated me for 'beating them' the other night. I don't see it that way at all! I was hoping I wouldn't see them at all to be honest :( - MayBie

This is a real problem with social media in general, and it certainly doesn't help if you inadvertently become a celebrity. I have to agree with Baloo on this one though. Respect thier privacy, please. - MontanaMouse

"celebrities" are public persons and they can expect to attract attention, that's why they hire plaids, etc, but even then, there is a respectful way to deal with the situation. Taking pictures of people is not in and of itself illegal, but stalking sure is. There's no reason to intentionally cause these people distress. - bluefairy

Well said! And there also an older couple who just want to ride the ride with no pictures Peter Pan obviously has some meaning to them and maybe that is keeping there love alive - princessVanessa

And the rude comments about them along with the pics are uncalled for! Stuff about their clothes and that they are weird or creepy! They had a disabled son who they took to ride that every night before he passed away. They ride it to honor his memory and just have a happy moment together remembering him. And they prbly wait to be last so they are alone on the ride with him in their hearts. So please leave them alone. - Mrsblue
