In the park now, FINALLY after a big ticket mess. My friend's little brother is a CM at DCA. My friend was blocked today so her brother gave her one of his comp tickets. Well it's one you print out, we went to DCA first and the CM has a hard time scanning the barcode, instead of asking for help he keys it in. Well first problem we had was getting WOC FP, her ticket wouldn't work. We decide to leave DCA and head to Disneyland. She gets her hand stamped and we go across. Well we get to the turnstile and the CM tells her her ticket is from another day. He calls his lead over and the lead goes to check their record. He comes back and proceeds to berate us in front of a line of people waiting to get in. "This ticket was used on August 14, I'm confiscating it!" He doesn't even LOOK at her hand stamp. So we go to complain at Guest Services, unfortunately she sends us back to DCA. The DCA lead listens to our problem, takes a black light and checks her hand stamp. Not only does she tell us it's valid but it's a good stamp too. A couple in Longhorn jackets overheard our situation at Guest Service, he pulls out $40 for a blackout ticket for my friend and insists we take it. I started to cry and hugged them both. Good people DO exist. But anywho, we ended up getting a replacement ticket from DCA so we decided to put the $40 towards a RAK of some stuffed animals for two lucky kids. Let's hope it brings them good memories. Sorry about the long rant but ugh today has just been all kinds of ups and downs, that will end with a complaint about Richard the lead at Disneyland's main entrance

sorry you had to go through that, that's horrible! When we got a comp ticket last year, we went to a ticket booth with it and they gave us a ticket so we were able to use it for FPs. - TickledTink  352.8 #405 10:34PM
He made is feel like criminals. All he had to do was take us to the side and explain it to us, but he chose to yell it out in front of a bunch of people. I know they have to watch out for people trying to pull a fast one (cause I'm sure it happens), but there is a right way and a wrong way to approach it and he sure chose the wrong way! Juan was a gate cm who gave me a hard time last year. I had been signed in (blockout date) and my "hubby" and I split up for a few hours, but were going to meet up later. Unbeknownst to us, our tickets had been mixed up in the morning and the cm berated me in front of everyone and would not listen when I tried to explain that I just had the wrong ticket. He wouldn't give it back to me either. Hubs had to leave the fantastic dessert seating to clear up the snafu. Then he told hubs that my friends and I were rude and that he should have told us "the rules." grrrr. - bluefairy  627.0 #174 1:12AM
