I am so upset..... Just found out that Pirates and Blue Bayou are closed for referbishment, Sept. 7th - Nov. 23rd. We're going to DL in October and Pirates is one of the rides my son really wanted to go on and hubby wanted to have dinner at the Blue Bayou. :(

We'll be there in Oct too so I was pretty bummed to hear that as well, but at least the new Star Tours is open! And Toy Story Mania will be open (was closed last time we went). There will still be tons of fun to be had! :) - BaronessVonShush

Yes, we are too :( My mom is driving down from Sacramento - we're going to DL on October 2nd...this was the ride she was reallly looking forward to. BUT - I'm still excited, as we have the new Star Tours, AND the Matterhorn re-opens with a new track and bobsled design. Haven't ever been there for Halloween time either, so I hear it should still be fun with all the decorations :D - Alicewhoareyou

Update - to correct my first post - Matterhorn will have the new track installed and ready for your visit - but the new bobsled design/installation is planned for next 2012 refurb. Still going to have lots of fun with Haunted Mansion Halloween Holiday - themed w/Nightmare Before Christmas, and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy will be up too :D - Alicewhoareyou

I am pretty sad about it too. The boyfriend and myself are going October 3rd - 7th and I was really wanting to eat at Blue Bayou as well but that's out so we will just have fun enjoying everything else. - MrsLightyear
