I believe anyone could enter. The first round started at 8 this morning. There were 1900+ and each individual was asked a question. Out of those, I think 350 (?)were chosen to take a scantron test. The top 100 are competing now, i and the top 18 plus I believe 2 others will compete at the Expo tomorrow night. - PrincessKristin

He made it to the final round! He said it got really intense. He will be competing tomorrow night at 6. He said he's one of the youngest, and he just barely made the cut, so he's pretty nervous, but he's also glad he made it this far. - PrincessKristin
