Today was 7th grade orientation at the high school. So we get there and my son and I are the ONLY ones there! LOL! No other parents or kids showed up until half way through one more showed. They had a bunch of stuff to raffle off. And since there were two kids they just split it. A backpack full of school supplies, an ASB card, and a PE uniform. So those other parents NOT showing saved me like $80.

How weird that people didn't show up. Lucky for you though!! - Mimmy  1405.6 #57 6:51PM

That is awesome that you guys got the stuff planned for a raffle but also sad that those other familys didnt make an effort to make an attempt to do the orientation for their kids. - yellowtonka  237.7 #1138 6:57PM
Wow talk about a lack of parental support in that school, but hey good for your packet!!! - Katrayher  739.1 #138 6:58PM
7th grade orientation at a high school? im confused. I remember at my 7th grade orientation there were a RIDICULOUS amount of people. it was hard to walk around. haha but that's great that you got all the free stuff. I'm paying close to a thousand dollars (well my parents are hehe) for my freshman year at high school... but anyways good luck to your son in school! seventh grade was the worst :P - acpowers13  148.8 #2311 7:00PM

I'm kinda sad for his classmates' lack of parental support, but that's exciting that he got a bunch of free stuff--now his teachers will think he's really responsible because he showed up! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 7:16PM
