so there was just an earthquake where i live. i totally hate them. and i remembered that i was at disneyland when there was a earthquake one time it was scary. i was in tomorrowland and i first felt it under my feet and wasnt sure if it was one then i saw everything swaying and everyone just looking around all confused. they shut everything down for testing right after. has anyone else been at dlr when there was earthquake?

No I haven't. Where are you? - Disneykidds_HaveWeMet  181.9 #1843 10:46PM
Yep. Last year it was 4 am and the rattling in the hotel room woke me up. I verified with the front desk that it was an earthquake. Couldn't feel it, but heard stuff rattling. - champers  25.1 #4658 10:47PM
Lol no I wish. I'm deathly afraid of a big earthquake but I think little ones are so fun :) - acpowers13  148.8 #2310 10:48PM
When my son was doing his Cast Member training, they were having training on what to do in case of an earthquake when they really had an earthquake! - PrincessKristin  776.5 #124 10:49PM
I felt it here, in Hemet. It wasn't too bad. - susieQzee  480.7 #247 10:50PM
No, but I sure remember the '71 earthquake when the freeways fell down! - mcarthy6  426.5 #298 10:53PM
I live in hemet - disneyonthebrain  141.3 #2426 10:54PM
Crazy! We had an earthquake here in BC today (apparently). I guess we do share the same fault line with California. I've been at DL during an earthquake, but only figured it out after most of the attractions were closed for inspection. - CaliCanuck  511.7 #230 10:55PM
I'm in Riverside, I didn't feel it? - CM-timndebbie1  26.6 #4551 10:58PM
We are in Hemet too. Could definitely hear that thing coming! It was more loud than strong. - MandJloveMickey  212.6 #1451 11:03PM
I'm in beaumont, didn't feel a thing. strange - sailormouse  279.2 #738 11:03PM
Yep...2.5 right outside Hemet. Glad ur ok. I hate earthquakes. - TinkKim  189.4 #1757 11:03PM
Ya u heard it coming more then felt it. Me and my daughter just looked at each other like oh no! We don't do good with earthquakes lol - disneyonthebrain  141.3 #2426 11:12PM
I remember the earthquake on Easter Sunday a couple yrs ago. DL had closed attractions for maint checks but we decided to go anyway. It was great bc there were hardly any guests after that - tiggermother  50.4 #3754 11:17PM
@tiggermother- we felt that earthquake here in Phoenix. @startours- I've been waiting 43 years and it hasn't happened yet! - champers  25.1 #4658 11:24PM
@tiggermother - the Easter earthquake was the one my son was there for (pardon my horrible sentence structure, I'm tired) - PrincessKristin  776.5 #124 11:26PM
I won't get outta bed for anything under a 7.0 ;) - misskitty  19.3 #5137 11:26PM
Northridge Earthquake was a loud one... I still have my "I survived the Northridge earthquake shirt" - CptKirk  697.0 #142 11:26PM
Be glad you didn't live near Northridge when that happened. I did and will never forget that. Especially since I had to still go to work later that day and worked at NBC in their basement. You talk about feeling every little thing. It took me a VERY long time to be able to be along after all that. I have heard ones coming a couple times over the years and freaks me out. I just flashback to that night and fear it will be that all over again. And that one that happened on that Easter Sunday was crazy. We just swayed for the longest time here. Most of us didn't notice it until my hubby and his uncle came out of the garage and were like you guys don't feel that? 2.5 is nothing though at least. LOL cause hubby and I are going out that way so him and some buddies can jam. BTW, we have gone to DL after an earthquake before. It was a very long time ago when I was a teen still and we had a small one that morning but my parents decided we were still going cause it wasn't enough to keep one home. Oh and one more even though I know this is long now but walking to school in jr high when the Whitter one hit. That was crazy how the ground rolled up. I was glad I was walking with a friend and not alone that morning. While I am not a fan of earthquakes at all I rather have to live with them than any other natural disaster. - TheRealEvilQueen  24.4 #4710 11:26PM
Don't miss those since moving out of state. But supposed to get them here in Utah sometime! - jjdq  326.7 #490 11:27PM
@CptKirk yeah it felt and sounded like our house was picked up and slammed down. It was a loud one for sure - TheRealEvilQueen  24.4 #4710 11:28PM
The Easter earthquake was huge! My dad runs a plant in Mexicali (where it was centered) and had to drive down there after to check on everything. It was scary! - MandJloveMickey  212.6 #1451 11:51PM
The Easter earthquake is the biggest one I've ever been in... every year while the easter bunny comes one of our cousins (or both) takes me and my brother outside to play (but that year it was my cousins boyfriend) and we were standing outside my grandpa's shed and I felt it and I panicked and sat down and ended up bruising my tailbone but that's besides the point and then it ended and we all went inside because it's a mobile home and those are the safest to be in because the stuff they go through while they are being driven to the location is equivalent to an 8.0 earthquake and we all just sat there and waited for more earthquakes because me and my family all think little earthquakes are fun so we sat there and it was weird cause the majority of the aftershocks were ones where we could see and hear stuff rattling but we couldn't feel it so that was odd... that's my story. - acpowers13  148.8 #2310 11:56PM
I live in Murrieta & I didn't feel a thing! - Tweedle_Deedee  228.2 #1268 12:02AM
Yes it was weird everyone standing around waiting for the all clear for rides reopening... - timetraveler2442  338.6 #438 12:03AM
Easterquake was insane o:. My family and i were watching the then new alice movie in theaters and we had to sit at the very top, then like half way into the movie i felt what I thought was a quake. Turned out it was and for the rest of the day I was paranoid for aftershocks ; . ; ( I don't really like those kinds of things, specially the wildfires that sometimes pop up in san diego) - Suikas  138.2 #2472 12:26AM
Thunder and earthquakes are totally scary! But I have once experienced an earthquake at Disney before - DisneyNerd3  19.5 #5105 12:28AM
I remeber the northridge earthquake I was only 4 or 5 but I still remember hown things were falling and shaking. I remember opening my door watching the pool with gaint waves. I also remember going out to northridge cause my grandma lived like 5 min from there and it was so sad. Things were demolished. The hospital that was there was completely gone :( - NeverlandTink  421.4 #304 12:47AM
