Is any one else a little upset that the Big thunder ranch BBQ doesn't let you take home the left overs. They should tell guest that detail when your making your reservations, I much rather pay extra and eat at the blue bayou now

I dont know of a buffet in existence, Disney or otherwise, that let's you take leftovers home. Imagine the possibilities. You could put an entire chicken in your bag - Missshelly

They let me do it once. It was last year but, I couldn't eat everything. All they are going to do is throw it away. - Arielkitten13

Yea, I have never thought about this in regards to the BBQ place but all you can eat places will usually not let you take the leftovers to discourage full meals going out the door. - PrincessDuckie

I have eaten there twice, and the waitress gave us boxes for left overs..did u ask for a box? - Leopardpixie

All the times I have eaten there, they've let us take any leftovers. I found it odd and it wasn't something they advertised. They must have changed their policy. - disney42dude(CM)
521.7 #222 11:30PM
It's an "all you can eat". That policy is standard anywhere you go. Unfortunately people would take advantage of them if they did not do this. - Boundin

Usually all you can eat places do NOT allow doggy bags. - Mrsblue

They didn't give us bags. Just boxes. We had to request clear bags from Stromboli's Wagon. - disney42dude(CM)

I just ate there in June and our sever gave us boxes to pack up whatever we wanted.... He was asking us if we wanted more food and we said no we wouldn't wanna waste it, we just took some corn bread which he gave us a brand new basket of also. - Krisseee

I usually don't eat at buffets so I don't no the rules but I have ate at the ranch before and was able to take left overs home, I'd enjoyed eating ribs at home, but the waitress told me they recently made that rule. - Charles-Xavier86

I ate there last month and was able to take my leftovers. Our waiter gave us a box and even asked if we wanted more of anything. That is so weird they didn't allow you to take yours home! - FindMeAtTheCove

I ate there a while back, and yes, they did give us boxes upon request. I ended up with enough for another meal. Obviously, that's not typical of all you can eat restaurants, so maybe it's a recent policy change. - bluefairy

It just makes sense that you're not allowed. You could order extra of everything then just take it with you. It may be Disney but it's still a business. - TrueFromOzLovesDisney

I have a question for those that do get to take leftovers.... Are you going straight back to your hotel or do you carry it around for the rest of the night? I find that I already have so much to carry that I don't want to be carrying extra, especially ribs, chicken wings and coleslaw. - TrueFromOzLovesDisney
312.2 #546 4:58PM
You used to be able to take the leftovers but I think they had too many people take advantage. @jacs1234 - I agree, I wouldn't want to carry around leftover chicken until the parks close and then take a chance on it! Enjoy the food while you're there and then move on. - Duchess73
