Do you like it when people (other than weight loss buddies) ask you how much weight you've lost? To me it's a reminder of how fat I've become.
Yeah, people usually mean well, and are trying to pay you a compliment, but it sometimes makes you think, "wow, I must've looked really puffy!" - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Most people don't realize when I lose a bunch of weight. I am very skilled at dressing to hide any weight gain (love Ross for that). It's only when I wear my thin clothes again that I get the comments...I guess that it dawns on people that they haven't seen my waist in 4 months! - msdizmaui

Yep, it does feel like a back handed compliment sometimes..usually depends on the messanger..some come off genuine and some don't. - Twinklelashes

Shop the clearance rack! When I was gaining weight my pants would always look the same (i.e. the way they fit) but no one knew that the size kept going up! I would find black pants for like $6 (you don't feel bad dumping them when you lose the weight)! Since I carry all my weight in my butt and thighs, I wore a lot of twin-sets with "duster" length cardigans. I think the worse thing is to stuff yourself into clothes that are too small - I would rather buy cheap, bigger sizes and look decent, then advertise the fact that I gained weight. Oh... I would find great dresses for under $10 too. I live at Ross! - msdizmaui
