It is really hard to be in the middle of a tragedy. So much is out of our control, but I think that is when we learn to be on our knees. Sometimes, I think tragedy is to draw us closer to God, our friends, and our family. I can't tell you how much more I value the simple things in life after my husbands accident. A touch, a smile, a laugh, experiences that could have been lost forever. Our lives won't be the same, but that doesn't mean it won't be better. Look at Job, a good story to remember. The hard part is staying positive and being happy. MW does help a lot. I get so much joy from seeing the pictures, the in park RAK's, who is where, and what they are eating. Living thru others, can't wait for it to be us. One other thing; suggest them starting a blog (blogspot.com). It is therapeutic, provides a diary to look back on, eliminates phone calls and repeating the story. It has helped me. -
