Hi all my MW peeps. Here is an update on Luke. Yesterday was a good day :) Praise God!!! The swelling looks like it has gone down slightly. His brain pressure numbers (which they ideally want at 20 or less) was stable at a 20. He underwent surgery on Friday for some skin graphing on his legs, which went well. He is going to have a tracheotomy put in Wednesday. Please continue to pray for complete healing for his brain, brain cells, swelling, and for a full recovery. Also please continue to pray for his family. Thank-you :)

My hubby is in the burn unit in Fresno. There is a family whose son was in an accident in the icu across from ours. Same story as yours. He left for rehab yesterday. Was taking a few steps, remembered his parents, and eating a little. God is good, and He will step in when doctors fail. Praying for you, and yours for a miraculous healing, peace, and comfort to all. - Sugarbuzz  44.3 #3868 9:42AM
Sugarbuzz thank you so much for that story. That is so encouraging to us all. I am passing your story to Luke's patents and I know it will bring them encouragement. Thank you for all the prayers. :) - muppetmanjim  108.0 #2929 10:22AM
It is really hard to be in the middle of a tragedy. So much is out of our control, but I think that is when we learn to be on our knees. Sometimes, I think tragedy is to draw us closer to God, our friends, and our family. I can't tell you how much more I value the simple things in life after my husbands accident. A touch, a smile, a laugh, experiences that could have been lost forever. Our lives won't be the same, but that doesn't mean it won't be better. Look at Job, a good story to remember. The hard part is staying positive and being happy. MW does help a lot. I get so much joy from seeing the pictures, the in park RAK's, who is where, and what they are eating. Living thru others, can't wait for it to be us. One other thing; suggest them starting a blog (blogspot.com). It is therapeutic, provides a diary to look back on, eliminates phone calls and repeating the story. It has helped me. - Sugarbuzz  44.3 #3868 10:48AM
