(Not live). I love the Blue Bayou. Not just because of their fabulous Monte Cristos, but because of the memories. I remember coming here as a boy coloring pirate pictures while listening to the soft POTC music in the background. I remember being so nervous as a young man because I ate here with my girlfriend & then walked hand in hand to the wishing well & asked her to make a wish & then I proposed to her (over 2 decades ago now) It is the memory of my daughters 3rd birthday and the joy on her face. it is when my boys got pirates pistols handed to them as honorary pirates for the day. It is just recently when my girls marched down Main Street with their marching band and then cooled off in the cool of the ambiance of the Blue Bayou. To me, it is not just a place for dinner or lunch. To me it is a place with a lifetime of memories. Someday, I hope to bring my future grandkids here and watch them begin their lifetime of memories at this - the Happiest Place on Earth.

We are going sat...gonna try to call for reservations tomorrow. My 3 year old son is obsessed with pirates (and superheros)...so excited! I would have truly not thought to bring them without your post, I always thought of it as a place we go when we can escape to DL w/o kids. New family tradition! - MandJloveMickey

I always think of the time we ate there on Christmas Day, and our waitress told us she was asked to come in extra that day. Her little boy was waiting at home for her to celebrate Christmas later in the day. She touched our hearts and we gave her a really big tip. Felt good to do that for her and her boy on Christmas. - Bo22

Kind of a funny one. When I was little I refused to eat there. Never occurred to my grandma to ask about a kid's menu for me to look at. She went once & I went someplace else & she hated it. A few years later we tried it again & that became one lunch we'd do every trip! We laugh about it now. :-) - ythdudette
