sorry guys but I have to vent about an incident that happened at DL on saturday with pin trading...I went to trade some pins that day and ended up next to Trading co pin store..basically where all the "pros" end up. Approached a guy asked what he was looking for because he had something I wanted (he had 2 of the same pins actually) I offered to trade than without any reason tells me im not advanced enough to trade and tells me nobody in this section will trade with you. I didnt think you needed a "level" to trade pins or that pin trading had become a full time job for some people....Dont get why people bring 5 pin books and wont trade you for a single pin all day...

Don't trade with them!!! SSometimes If they see u have like a 100$ pin but u want a scarp metal pin they would glady trade with you. I advise you stick with trading with CMs or even MWers - mozbaby

I only let my girls trade with CM because I don't want them being rejected by mean people at DL. They love trading pins. It's something they look forward to. - Pinup Princess

It all depends on who you get. I tried trading with them numerous times and they wouldn't trade with me. Then one day I asked for this awesome fantasmic pin and the lady traded with me because she wanted a pin off mine...so it just depends on what they want. They don't have to trade with you either. There is noneed for them to be rude though..sorry you got that. - SillySwings

I wanted TLM Opening Day pin from one of thoses jerks one day and told me to go and purchase a certain one inside which was more than the one I wanted was worth. I'm not gonna spend 25 bucks on a pin for one that was originally sold for 10-15! That's why I hate dealing with them. I ONLY trade with CM's or regular visitors! It's alot more fun that way anyways! - no1goof

I was told that the guys with pin books on top of the barrels are guests at the parks, trading their personal pins so unfortunately they will only trade for stuff they want. They can be stuck up. I'd stick with cast members. - DisneyRose

Not all of those people are bad, we have had many good experiences trading with those people and I have gotten some really awesome pins from some really nice people. That being said there are also some really nasty people. One guy wanted me to go inside and buy him a $20 pin to trade to him. If they are rude we just steer clear, don't let one bad experience stop you from trading with them because they do have some really cool pins. We like to call the bad ones "pin sharks", like card sharks. - oldenewguy1

I hate those vultures by the frontierland... but on a side note I've met a couple really nice guys that have a section in their binders that they are willing to trade anything. Other than that stick to CMs - CptKirk

I agree I've been trading for awile now and those people only seem to trade for limited edition pins. I've been rejected to many times, but also at the same time I've traded alot and have gotten pins I would be able to get anywhere else. Sorry you had to deal with that "shark" but not all of them are like that. just keep trading because you never know what you'll find on a cast lanyard!!! - angrystitch626

What would you guys thing about a MW pin trade meet up? Maybe sept or Oct when blackoutsamd crowds are over. Simple rules like 1 for 1 and clearly identify what is available for trade and what is just for show. - mike714

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience! I personally don't like going over by Trading Co. because the traders kind of scare me. I've met some nice one's who will let me look at their books, even when I don't have something they want. But a lot of them are really rude who unless you have something they want, they won't want you near them! I'll think I'll stick with CMs. - Kimmehface

I had an experience where they were rude to myself, my friends, and my friends 11 year old cousin. She went up to one if them and they said no, then turned her back rudly. I was so upset. Levels?! What is this WoW? Seems a little too die hard. Those guys scare me cuz they're a little too into it for adults but I've never traded so I bet some are nice like DVLover. Was it the guy in the black trenchcoat? I remember when the beanie baby craze was in full swing and dreaded Tuesdays at work cuz that's when the new shipment came in and there'd be a line waiting before we opened.
