She just said I should of stayed for the three hour and bleed hen go to the clinic. There is a 6 hour time frame on cuts like the one I had. I'll see what she says. How useful did she think you'd be while holding a towel or whatever to keep the bleeding to a minimum for 3 hours anyway? When I burned my leg with 200 degree water, I called for backup, and my supervisor was running from the back while I was the clueless one thinking it wasn't a big deal. She told me to go home. She didnt say anything about Friday. I am surprised but I am guessing she talked to the vet and tech I went to and showed, and the vet was the one who said I needed to go it. I wasn't going to be useful if I was bleeding for 3 hours. I am being as useful as I can with no bend the finger and keeping it dry (when I have to wash dog bowls). Talking to the manager wasn't too bad, but still hopping for this new vet hospital. Prob not as bad hours. Good not, I am sure I am getting into over time. Oh another thing, she told me she could not give me my schedule which starts Friday. Really?! I won't know if I'm working Friday till Thursday night. This is so stupid. And going by last weeks schedule isn't an option cuz thy are no where close to the same. I'm a vet tech and I have never heard of a three hour rule for something like that. At my clinic if there is an issue like that you leave and get it taken care of! You need to find a new place to work. Sounds like the manager has major issues! Hope the finger is better! I've cut myself plenty of times on things like that. @kristeee it's not a rule to wait but that's what she wanted me to do, she didn't see it because she was already gone for the day. So far everything good, soreness is starting going away.
