Just learned that Star Tours gets 300 3D glasses stolen a day. They are $6 per glasses. That's $657,000 per year....DONT STEAL.

I have to say I agree that it would be interesting to see if there were any impact if they sold these. But then I suppose the trick would be differentiating them from the ones handed out for the ride, and if they're different, people would probably still steal to have the "ride version". It would take longer but I say they collect the glasses BEFORE they unlock the seatbelts. This way they can collect each set of glasses from each guest and not lose any. This would add 30 seconds per flight but prevent the loss of $$$! - Bbnmcas

HDM - a CM does stand by the exit asking for the glasses. However, I've seen (1) the guest drop their glasses in the bin and take a pair from a bin down the hall, and (2) the CM at the end of the exit was distracted answering questions and set walked right out. The CM need to pay extra close attention to the guests when they exit. - Bbnmcas

I'm ashamed to admit this now... but my 6 year old did walk off with a pair right after the attraction re-opened. He didn't even realize it, just had them in his hand as we walked off. We realized it as we were getting in the car.
