Ok, hoping I can get some help here... Did the entrance to HM used to be on the side of the mansion? I distinctly recall, at a young age (probably in the early 1980's) the entrance being on the side of the building. I remember dracula opening the door to let people in from the line....
What I failed to mention is that I also distinctly recall being scared to death hen he opened the door. At that point I jumped over the little iron rod fence on the porch and took off running through the grass to get away. Am I nuts? I remember it tho... - gobigdan

I know CS, I know...but if you look at the mansion itself, there is what looks like a door and a brick porch on the side of the building..Hoping somebody remembers that also - gobigdan

You never know.. Maybe it was something they did temporarily? I remember in the mid 80's the suit of armor used to lower his axe, crashing it down on the doom buggie.. SCARED THE LIFE OUT OF ME! I refused to go on the ride again for years and when I explained why, everyone thought I was nuts because they'd never seen the suit move. It wasn't till I got MW that I found out that I didn't make this up!! - Calypso

@gobigdan you are not trippin. I know you are right. it use to be to the left of the main entrance. it has been so long, I guess I forgot. when its a busy day and you wrap around to the left in the queue, then you come to a CM and ask how many or take your FP, there is a door straight ahead and that is where you use to enter. I'm pretty positive since you mentioned this - wickedale

just read this on the wikipedia page...
Years ago, the cemetery paid tribute to the Imagineers, much like the one at Florida and Tokyo, but was changed when the queue was expanded some time after the mid-80s, to make room for the handicapped entrance. - wickedale
