I didn't know there was a gamble. I just follow the pointing fingers. But last time it was hard since we left and came back so it was like looking for a needle in a haystack for any spots - cesium55

@Mimmy after a certain time (if you arrive late afternoon/eve), they don't direct you where to park so you're on your own trying to find a spot. - SergZak

got it... yes, I have done that before. sucks to have to loop around. back in the old days in the old parking lot, before dca, you could just drive the wrong way down the aisle and all was good. that was long before the huge crowds though. - Mimmy

My boyfriend does that EVERY time. I tell him to just park when he sees a spot. But nook he just "knows" there will be one closer. And there never is. Takes him more time to find a spot than it would have if he just parked farther in the first place and walked! - niickayy

Sometimes you get lucky and get a spot right near the escalators...most of the time, not worth the waste of time. But sometimes you have no choice & you have to hunt - SergZak
