I don't remember the first time I drove but I sure do remember the first time I drove alone. My gma was gonna go to Africa so I drove her (in her car) to get some vaccines but she had a bad reaction and was bed ridden the rest of the day. I got tired of sitting around so I told her I would be right back I was gonna go get something to eat with my Bf (who is now my husband). It was true, except I left out the tiny part about me taking her car keys and her car!! Demanding that I pull into the next parking lot where ever I was, give her the address and sit on the curb. She showed up a few minutes later with my cousin, made me get in the car with my cuz, she grabbed the keys from me for the car I was driving and drove away in it leaving my Bf and friends that were riding with me there in that random parking lot! I was in trouble for a whole week!! My grandma didn't even get mad, she ended up giving me her car the next month when age bought a new one!!!! - jayjci  7.3 #8002 5:07PM

My first time was on these very cars at DL in about 1973. Well the old cars! It scared me and my dad. I kept running into the track. I couldn't keep it straight to save my life.
