Has anyone gone whitewater rafting? LivingSocial has a special on a location in the Lotus area (Placerville area) for $60. I wanna do it, but scared and excited at the same time *LoL*

The only white water I've done is rides like GRR, I'm too chicken to try the real thing - afraid of the raft flipping over or me falling out. I would definitely do it if I wasn't such a fraidy cat. - hollyberry

I went down te gully river fom my one and only time. Class 5 I believe. It was fun, just not something I was to do again. Will be sore the fallowing day but over all glad I did it once and did have fun - TinkTinkTink

Yes yes yes do it. We go to Colima/Colusa area when I'm up North. Stick with class 3 rapids and you'll be golden. Is the deal for a guide? They are handy to have first time out. - PopcornYeti

This is the company we used last. They are so awesome. It’s a little lower budget compared to the other places but they get you to the rapids. They have safe rafts and excellent guides. Their half day is down the south fork and has just a little class 3 and a long stretch of calm quite water to relax. Honestly with them the scariest part is the bus ride to the water haha. I would highly recommend. The one we did had a lunch attached to it. So much fun. - PopcornYeti
