I have a four year old and the things that help keep him busy are snacks, notepad and pen, ribbon on a stick, games like what letter does Ariel begin with, what letter does Peter Pan start with, etc, taking photos with an old digital camera, bubbles, blow up our own balloons while in line or when bored and bounce them back and forth and singing. I have an almost 2 year old and we end up playing lots of patty cake and other silly songs. Peeling small stickers and placing them in a notepad.
