so like I said I scream. a few years ago I was a summer day camp counselor. once a week we would go on a field trip. when we went to Disneyland I had a group of 20 kids that ranged from five to seven years old, I had a couple of kids that were scared and I told them that the elevator is the scariest part. I also told them that if they all scream then it won't be scary anymore and that they would feel better. we got into the elevator and they all and I mean all. screamed and when we got off the ride they wanted to go on again just so they can scream again. and they told me they that I was right they did feel better. later that day when parents were picking up their kids I was saying good-bye to one of the kids that was frightened and she told her mom that we went on hm. the mother looked at me in disbelief and said that she had been trying to get her to go on it for years. that little girl now says that hm is her favorite ride. my point is, we are all afraid of the unexpected. it is human nature.so why not let your kids know what to expect? they trust you enough to know you have their best interest, and you may never know...they may actually overcome a fear.
