A story about why bad things can be good.........We went to Pizza Port for lunch yesterday. Waited in line to get food, drinks; got in line to pay, waited, got to the reg and was told they cant take cash because the CC machines are down but to walk to Main St and get cash out of the ATM and come back. I told the girl you have to be kidding me. She told me if I didnt like it to talk to her manager. So, I did. The lead told me that she was sorry but there was nothing that she could do. I said you can call them in. She said that would take to long. So, I said I supposed to walk to the ATM, walk all the way back, get back in line food and get in line to pay again? She said yes and walked away. So, I walked to Main St but went to guest services and voiced my concern. The cast member there was stunned. He said she passed you off to a manager and you were told to walk to an ATM. He was speechless. He gave us 3 Re-Admission passes for our time. So, I decided to go the White Water Snacks instead. Get there order and wait... and wait... and wait... I check on the food and was told its on the way. So we wait... and wait... and wait... I check again and they realize our order got lost and I was about cried. I told the guys I have 3 little kids that need to eat, told him about Pizza Port. He told me I am so sorry. You guys need a treat. He gave us some mickey cookies, cake, fruit and rice krispy treats to tide us over. About 5 minutes later, brings our food and comps our meal. He said he was terribly sorry and that no one should be sad or hungry at DL. So, in the end Disney Magic was found. We RAK the Re-Admission passes to fellow MWers. Gotta share the love.

I'm so sorry that happened to you but I'm glad Disney ended up working out for you. A few weeks ago I had a similar wait at villiage haus (waited over thirty mins at the counter!) Thats awesome! Love stories like that. I had that happen to me while I was snowboarding in Tahoe. We went to eat at the lodge in the middle of the mountain and only had a debit card with us. We were told they only took cash at that lodge and I had to go down the hill to get cash. I was a bit shocked that a huge resort didn't take cards at every lodge but decided since we had to go down anyway that we'djust eat down there. We asked what we should do with the food we had on our tray and the cashier said "hold on." she went and got her manager who came and said "don't worry guys, lunch is on me." we were floored and very greatful. That's awesome that you were taken care of, I just with people had more patience for those in food service or customer service for that matter. The credit card machines going down are not something the employees can control, and they are probably already stressed out from having to deal with that and angry customers, so complaining doesn't really help your situation. I don't want to seem rude, but what were you expecting the manager to say if the employee already told you the machines were down? Just because the manager is a manager doesn't mean they can fix things. Now, if they were rude to you about it then complaining is necessary. - ladylikesdisney  945.0 #197 10:07AM

It sucks that you had to go through this but I'm so glad we got to meet you and your family. Your kids were so cute. And thanks for the readmission pass we used it for splash mountain where I got soaked and was miserable it was my sisters idea. It was nice to meet a fellow mousewaiter.
