I'm going to the park with my brother on my one on Thursday - he is mentally retarded and has ADHD. I am worried about leaving him on his own when I have to use the bathroom! Any suggestions? Or suggestions in general for visiting the park with a disabled adult? (he is 28) I am so nervous!

I don't have any personal experience but google is my best friend when looking for specific topics. Either way have an amazing and magical time at the park.:) - PopcornYeti  377.6 #360 1:05AM
Im pretty sure there's a family restroom at the park.. ask a cm - DonaldMissingPants  296.2 #630 1:19AM
I would go to City Hall and talk to the CMs there, I'm sure they have answers that can help you. - Ms.Mouseketeer  1000.8 #88 1:25AM
I was just thinking about the family/companion bathrooms. It's usually one bathroom instead of a whole bunch. - PopcornYeti  377.6 #360 1:25AM
Yes, there's also a family bathroom in A Bug's Land in DCA. - Minnique  451.8 #272 2:00AM
Family restrooms would be your best bet I hope you both have a wonderful time. - Briana  225.7 #1293 2:59AM
Thank you! I tried to find info online about this and didn't have much luck. - PinkTink  23.1 #4800 5:23AM
I think what you're doing is amazing. You'll do fine. You should call Disney info to see if they have any accommodations to assist you on your visit. - GoofyHauntedMansion  24.6 #4683 7:41AM
*bump* for our day walkers that may have some suggestions. - PopcornYeti  377.6 #360 8:36AM
Agreed, go to City Hall, or even try calling ahead if you want to find out ahead of time. When my girlfriend (now wife) and I went for the first time a few years ago, she had some medical issues, so the first thing we did was go to City Hall, and they were very helpful in telling us what options were available. - BrettX209  234.2 #1178 10:21AM
Maybe go to the restroom in First Aid, with their permission of course. - PrincessDuckie  584.0 #187 10:29AM
DCA has some family bathrooms, use those. Maybe ask a male CM or security to keep am eye on him in the restroom. - Mrs.mouse  420.3 #306 10:38AM
What an awesome Sis! I love your heart! I hope you can work out the details! Have so much fun! - mcarthy6  426.5 #297 10:40AM
I know for a fact there is family restrooms at CA in bugs land...other than that I would ask at city hall. Hope you guys have a great time! - staceeyl  237.2 #1138 10:41AM
Plumie would be an excellent person to ask! - KissDclown  1088.1 #77 10:44AM

We postponed our trip to tomorrow (fri) but I feel so much better after your help - thank you! If you see a tall goofy-looking guy w/ glasses and hearing aids with a short pink haired chick, that's us  - PinkTink  23.1 #4800 11:31PM
Ps, he sang a small-world-yo-ho-grim-grinnin-ghosts medley for our entire 3 hour drive here! Good thing I'm a rabid Disney fan  - PinkTink  23.1 #4800 11:32PM
