Here's my question of the day for you locals. Do any of you stay at any of the Disney hotels? I live 12 miles away from DL and I always wanted to go to DL for the weekend and stay at one of the hotels. But it just seems silly (and an extra expense) since I live so close. So it got me thinking do any locals stay at the hotels?
I live a mile and a half away from the parks and my wife and I stay at the hotels. Its a little strange, but we enjoy doing it. - GoofyHauntedMansion

my gf lives in garden grove, i live in downey.... and somehow we are tempted to spend a night at the grand.... still havent done it... but soooooo tempted lol so i guess ur not the only one - VinylSteve

I live 10 miles away and I just recently started staying at the hotels. It brings alot more to the Disney experience, the kids love it and it feels like a mini (pun intended ) vacation! - 007flipper

My BF and I were just saying this! We want to stay at the Hotel for a weekend and treat it like we we're coming from out of town. It's gonna be awesome. We are gonna swim at the pools, do Goofy's breakfast, magic mornings, and everything else the Hotel has to offer!! - JessicaRabbit33

I'm 25 miles away and I've been staying on property with my bestie and her husband for years. We stayed off site once and didn't like it as much, but I'm considering it again for an occasional trip. We usually try to catch a character breakfast or steakhouse 55 in the morning, which we could never manage if we had to drive in, we are not morning people. - bluefairy
