They operated from '61 - '65 but were too expensive, needed a lot of maintenance and didn't fit the normal Disneyland "guest flow" i.e. only a small number of guests could ride at one time. My favorite part was when the "arm" swept all the saucers in when the ride was done. - msdizmaui
