Hi MW. Hope your all having an awesome day at work or @Disney. I need some expert advice. I want to plan a mini Disney vacation for the fam. Paradise pier hotel is within my budget and for those who have stayed there any tips? (pool, dining, amenities etc) and is one night or two nights enough to enjoy this hotel. I'd really appreciate any useful input. Thanks.
You will love it! And I say two nights! That way you can have the hotel all day when you go to the parks! - kritomiester

You need at least 2 days in order to enjoy the hotel. You can see many pics of the hotel & pool here: http://tinyurl.com/3kwfaug - Dahulagirl

Thanks Dahulagirl, I'm going to take a look. Are there any special activities for a 5yr old and a 2yr old? Those that know the in's & out's and are in the know... - 5Disney5

Yes. There are specific activities such as crafts and storytelling sessions for children at the hotel, and they even have their own pool in the pool area. Children of hotel guests may also participate in Pinocchio's Workshop at the Grand Californian. This is an evening program for kids aged 5-12, which includes arts and crafts, dinner, snacks and Disney movies. Parents should make a reservation with Guest Services: 714-635-2300.

Stayed there a couple times, it's nice. If you can get a room facing Dca it's a great view!!! Even better now that they have Woc. - thumpur

Wife took me and the kids there for Fathers Day last year and we had a great time. Our room faced DCA so we were able to relax and watch the WOC from there once the kids fell asleep. You also get dessert in your room at the end of a long day. You can also use your room key to get into DCA thru the Grand Californian special entrance. Overall it is definitely worth it! - afloreZ66

How do all of you get the best rates for one of the 3 Disney hotels? Is there somewhere to find a better rate than Disneys web site? - donnievegas

I was comparing AP rates over regular 25%off & AP rates vary by day up to 280regular room/nite while it's 220regular/nite all across most of July n Aug for anyone. - 5Disney5
