This my first time posting in this lounge. How's everyone doing? I need some help loosing some lbs. I don't want to be super skinny just healthy. Anyone have some good tips on how to get started? Thanx =]

Welcome to Chub 33 land :). I think it's important to drink lots of water, exercise, and cut out most of the "junk." When you're just getting started, it's very helpful to keep a food journal: a written record of everything you eat. Start with 20-30 minutes of light cardio activity (walking is great) 3x per week. Welcome! It is important to eat. Quite often people choose to eat less often thinking that this will help them lose weight. Just eat less, but eat more often and choose healthier options. Hope this makes sense. Fruits instead of chips for example. You can still eat your favs, just eat them in moderation. Start working out, but take it slow. I started with about 20 min a day. Then slowly worked my way up. Also change your workouts. I tend to get bored easily so, I stocked up on several different work out videos so that I have choices depending on my mood. Welcome one rare rose!! I am just starting to get back on track again as well. I am journeling my food on spark people. Com.Trying to eat small meals and snacks. Welcome! With me it's all about the mental part of it! I can be on the greatest diet in the world but if my head's not into it, it aint gonna happen. On the other hand, once I make up my mind that "it's time", I'm good to go. Best advice - stay away from anything processed - including fast food! And post how you're doing!
