Hi all! This is my first time posting in this land. So I need some help. I started Weight Watchers late last year and lost almost 12lbs. Then we went on vacation, and Christmas came, and kids birthdays, and, well you get the idea. As of today I have gained back all but 3lbs I originally lost. Every Monday I start tracking again only to find no difference. Anyone else have a similar experience with WW? How did you get through it? I should mention that I am an online WW member so I don't attend meetings. Thanks!!
I did the same thing lost about 20 pounds 2 years ago and gained 30 back. I researched different diet plans and picked one I thought would be easiest for me to maintain as a lifestyle. I realized that I can choose to be fat or skinny. Because I had lost the weight before I knew I could do it again. To date I've lost the 30 pounds I gained and am working on 20-30 more pounds. - Mrs.mouse

Welcome... I have lost and gained all my life. I agree we fall then get back on track again. I find being part of a group helps. We do weigh in Wednesday's here and there are many cool tips. I find people at very different levels as well so it's all good.I am using spark people. Com.. I have used WW on the past and lost... Trying this freebe for now... Good luck! - Twinklelashes

I am in the process of trying to figure out WW all of again myself. I lost all of my weight and made goal and I became a lifetime member. Well shortly after this happened I found out I was pregnant. So I gained all of my weight back and then some. I just recently returned to ww and am struggling a bit. I have continued to lose weight but it is a slow process. It seems like it is harder this time around. Not sure if it is because of the newest addition to the family and my lack of time to prepare meals properly or work out. At any rate, don't give up. Make sure that you track everything. What I decided to do was to stay off of the scale for awhile. I found that it was playing mind games with me. I was weighing myself daily and was discouraged to see my weight go up and down everyday. On the days it was up, I kind of gave up for the day and ate whatever. When I took the scale away, I just stayed focused on my goal and ended up losing. Again it has been a slow process, but it has helped. I have about 10 more lbs. to lose. Good luck and stay positive. You will get there. - tram1995

I have tried nearly every diet you can think of and finally realized that I can't call it a "diet" - I have to change my lifestyle. I use SparkPeople.com to log all my food and keep myself accountable, and I work out on my recumbant bike in the mornings. I also started wearing a Fitbit to track my walking and activity. It has taken me about 9 months, but I'm down 65 lbs. and would like to hit 100. I finally got past a month-long plateau this week. Getting over those are the hardest! Stick with it and go slowly. We didn't gain weight overnight (although sometimes it feels like it!) and we can't lose it overnight either. Stay strong! - MainStreetMom

MSM...that is so true! I finally came to realize at 52 years old that I had been "dieting" my entire adult life and yet was still obese. That's when it clicked for me that it has to be a lifestyle change. - vernswifevickie

I agree ladies. There is so much more involved to weight gain than calories in calories out, and it's different for everybody, baby weight, depression, 10 pounds 100 pounds. Whatever the case getting healthier is on all our horizons. We can do this.. (stepping off soap box) - Twinklelashes
