Did they change the requirements for a GAC (Guest Assistance Card) card? We are taking my older uncle with Downs Syndrome in a wheelchair and he has problems with his immune system. They had no prob last year but I remember someone saying it had changed now. I keep getting a busy signal when I call DL.

Yes, they did change the requirements? He is capable of walking but tires walking from attraction to attraction (thus the wc) and he gets pneumonia really easy. Do we need a md note for the GAC? He LIVES for DL. (thanks for the comp GJ). - Polkadobo

FYI for anyone requesting a GAC for themselves or a loved one. They basically asked why he is incapable of standing in the regular line. - Polkadobo

Does he still have his old GAC, Polka? Should be very easy to renew with it, but he should still qualify for one regardless. - MimiMouse

Just save the old one and take it with you every time. They will just ask if you have the same concerns and give you a new one. - Mrsblue

Oh, did not know this either. I pray he survives next winter's round of viruses and aspiration pneumonia and makes it to the park when the weather is warm again. He had a wonderful time today with his grand niece and nephew. - Polkadobo
