Just wanted to share a tale of ooo mmm geee they did whaaa? We are standing around eating our ice creams waiting for the parade to start today and 2 feet in front of us a mom proceeds to change her kids diaper, and it was a smelly smelly one! Then she throws it in the trash can right by us so everytime someone throws something away we get a big whiff all over again. It kinda sucked. But we just smiled and powered thru the stench!!
DL should have a button for that - BLG

Hi BLG ! We rode mermaid today, the girls squealed liked 5 yr olds when we told them why we were going today. It was awesome. The ride was cute, so I guess we were still in good moods from that and ignored the smelly stuff. - SillyBelle

I was in shock. We we in front of the emporium and the rest room is like right there! It wasn't even a baby, the kid was prob almost 2. Poor guy his mom flashed his business to main street! - SillyBelle

At least she used a trashcan right?!?! - peacelovemickey
350.6 #409 4:55AM
Yeah she does get points for using the trashcan - SillyBelle

She may just for a flash thought she was back at Wal-Mart! - stratdad

Well if she was also waiting for the parade, that would explain why no bathroom. Fear of losing their spot. - Elaine

I thought about that but she was in a decent size group. I seriously wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I did, I really did. - SillyBelle

Gross! Nothing worse than a smelly diaper! I have little plastic bags packed in my travel changing pad that I put my daughters in so they don't smell as bad if I have to throw them away in a public place. Even in the bathroom. - minniemommy

That lack of propriety is astonishing. - 2ndStar2theRight

I felt bad at first for being skeeved out by this, but like I said the bathroom was SO close. Maybe 150 feet. Oh well, it's a new day - SillyBelle

Nice. Thanks for the Bakersfield- bash too...extra classy - ToshiStation

Aaaaaand I'm sure there was no hand washing following the diaper change. As a preschool teacher, I live and die by the bleach bottle and just thinking about this makes my stomach turn. Oddly enough, I also want ice cream since that was mentioned in the post too - PrincessJ

Why did we have to go throw Bakersfield under the bus, maybe she was from where you live! Most likely scenario here she was waiting for the parade saving a spot with all her children and couldn't/ didn't want to leave and truck all her children to the bathroom and probably disnt realize how bad it was until she started then there was no going back! - akpoppins
243.3 #1071 6:10AM
Yeah akpoppins...that was my thought. Sometimes it happens. People are awfully judgmental and picky on here sometimes. Maybe it would have been better to leave it on the kid for the next 3 hours...or if she left to use the bathroom then her kids would've lost the view for the parade. We are all people and I think most try to do the best they can. Considering how many people are in Disneyland at any given time I'm surprised people get along as well as they do. - ToshiStation

Like I said I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, any one of her party could have saved her spot there were quite a few of them oh and only one kid. So it would've just been her and one kid to the bathroom. And this was 30 mins before parade. Plenty of time. As far as she being from anyone city who knows, she could be my neighbor for all I know. - SillyBelle

I have to say, as disgusting as this is, I have vowed to do this next time I'm waiting for a show. After spending hundreds on a hotel room so we could stay late for WOC, I lost my spot when I left to change a poopy diaper and all the people that said they would save my spot, didn't. My kids couldn't see the show at all. I was mortified and figured next time, let them smell poop! - autumnal1

The "happiest place on earth" tends to go right out the window when people are gathering for the parades, fireworks, Fantasmic, and WOC. I've seen many rude actions and comments from people during these times. - Bonedaddy

I am not a fan of smelling but she did put into a trash can...which is where trash is disposed of - Jewelz

I have a problem with people changing their kids in public (without shielding them).... Pedophiles. As for the smelly diaper, they should be put in a bathroom trash can. - GlitterFabulous

That's gross. That's what the restrooms are for. - Paulina
43.5 #3894 5:10PM
I am sorry no excuse belongs in the bathroom! Wether you are an adult or a baby. It wouldn't be okay for an adult or small child to in a bag and throw it in the nearest trash can to save a spot for the parade. I had 3 babies in three years and Missed IDK how many parades, shows, movies, conversations, spots in line, meals and IDK what else because of and having to take a kid to the bathroom. So when happens take it to the restroom. TIA. - Mrsblue

I hope you threw up on them. . - mozbaby
132.2 #2561 5:34PM
Mrs Blue that was almost poetic! It's just a health issue with me. I understand poop happens but like mrs blue said, it should be in the bathroom. If she was by herself I mightve thought different but she had lots of peeps with her on her blanket to save thier spot. - SillyBelle
253.5 #978 7:57PM
I wasn't gonna comment but I'm sorry sometimes happens! Yes the bathroom might be nearby but also there might be alot of and you as the parent of your child know that if you don't change it right away it might leak. Trust me with mine she can have the cleanest diaper on but one and it's n - Momof2princesses

Dang got cut off.. It's not so pretty. Of course I make it to the bathroom when I can. Also carry bags so the smell won't be so bad and sanitizer - Momof2princesses
