Hey guys! This isn't Disney related but I got a question for you as I am going through this with my sister. Do any of u have a younger sibling who is a trouble maker of the family like I'm talking bad. And no matter what u do to try and talk some sense into them they Just seem to get worse. I need some ideas on how to try and get through to my sister.
I have an older sister that likes to talk bad about me behind my back! But I just ignore it :(. Not really a good idea though - Madi

My cousin was. Turns out she just wanted the attention and didn't know how to do it the right way. She did drugs, stole a car, got in fights. She started going to therapy to work out her issues. And now she is married with 2 children and happy. - JediTrance

@ madi I'm not talking bad about her behind her back cause I'll tell her what I think about her to her face. I'm just trying to get some advise from my MW fam to see if they have gone through something similar. - nanibear

I deal with those type of kids at work. They gotta take a look at themselves and agree to make a change. I am talking about the kid in the mirror and they have to ask themselves to make that change. - HotDiggityDogDaddy

Oh I read your post wring sorry! Anyways yea I do. There isn't really much you can do. It's up to them to actually take your help and advice. You can't really force change on someone that doesn't want to change. Try talking to her again. And just keep on trying. Hopefully she will learn her lesson an easy way - Madi

I'm the eldest out of 4 girls!!! It's been tough setting and example and making sure they learn from my mistakes especially since one of them is a sophomore! We fight a lot since we hardly see eye to eye I've came to the conclusion that the only way to be on the same page as her is giving eachother alone sister time. Take her somewhere you know she likes and talk to her but most of all LISTEN! For she may be feeling the same as you ... Keep trying & never give up on family good luck - Ann-tastic!

@H3D I know she has to make that change but she's just getting so bad and putting my mom through a lot she's not a child anymore as she is already 19. But no lie at the rate she is going I see her dieing young. She steals from our family does drugs, like hardcore one, and lies. I just don't know what to even say to her anymore. - nanibear

Hi nani. My cousin did the same thing and leaned her lesson the hardbway by ending up in a hospital. Then she decided to change. And now she is a completely different person. Just give love, talking, and keep an eye out - Madi

@Ann yea I tried the sister time. The next day she stole 100 dollars from me. I used to take her out a lot and talk with her and listen but it gets me nowhere. - nanibear

I consider every drug as hardcore. I've seen a dozen kids grow up like that. Sucks. I've seen some break it, some go to prison, and some almost die. - HotDiggityDogDaddy

I'm sorry nanibear, I don't have any advice. My sister was the same way at that age. Nothing we said to her made her change her ways. She was also very much into drugs and thought we were the bad guys out to get her. It was very sad to see. She finally straightened up when she got pregnant at 20. She was also very lucky that the drugs she had consumed before she found out she was pregnant didn't affect my nephew. I hope your sister straightens up soon. Hang in there! - LoveMyBoy

As hard as it is you cannot force someone to change. All you can do is talk and pray and hope one day you can get through. The only way she will successfully change is when she figures it out on her own. It might also be time for some tough love an kick her out. Change the locks at home and never let her over. Maybe call the police on her. - KissDclown

I teach a program up in nor cal that was created by a teacher, cop, and psychologist that deals with strong willed at risk kids. Deals with gangs, drug use, poor school, media. Works pretty well with some teens but she's on the higher end age wise - unclebeezy

Nan, I think sometimes there is nothing we can do. My cousin had to hit rock bottom, and that meant almost dying, before she changed. I don't advise giving up, never give up! But dont YOU get overwhelmed and feel defeated, because this is not about you or your fault! Be ready, it will get worse before it gets better, some times the outcome comes much farther down the road than what we want! Again, hang in there! Always love! Even if it's from a distance! @zip thx for the advice. I was trying for a while to really be close with her after I got out of the military but it just went the opposite way now the only love I show her is tough love. I don't even like her to be around my daughter. - nanibear
