So just wondering... How do u get a credit card if u have no credit? I've even applied for the ones that say no credit, first credit card and still didnt get one! Any help would be appreciated! :)
I have the same problem too. My bank told me to go to a jewelry or furniture store and put something on payments there to build credit. Don't they check your credit there too though? And I have no business at a jewelry or furniture store considering I'm just not applying for credit cards. - ladylikesdisney

Try Best Buy. My daughter works there and they approve just about everyone. - AlwaysDreaming

Yes, try a store charge card to start as more likely to get approved. Otherwise, try a secured credit card to start as you'll have to put down a deposit, but good way to start building. Otherwise, if you can get someone to co-sign on an acct., at least it starts building a credit file for you. - Ht

I got one with a $500 limit to start off from my credit union. - shadowgamer

Try a secured credit card. You put down how much you want on the card, you set the limit. Some credit unions offer these cards. - Diznimom

I agree with @shadowgamer. That's the best route. - fireflymom

Well we have golden1 and they told us to save $500 and bring it in and they will do the whole credit card thing. I think I might try one of the store cards and see how that goes. - cooper0925

My first card was to Express. I had a $500 limit and I could only buy there so I never went overboard. The limit eventually goes up if you keep in good standing. Although, I would suggest not getting one if you can help it. I have just a gas card now and I like it that way. But I'm also tight with my money so I don't overspend anyway. - KissDclown

I applied for the Disney card and didn't have credit and I got it, didn't have a high credit limit but it was a start - diznymommy84

I got a chase visa and took out the credit protection so if you get laid off they will make your payments and 6 months later I got laid off no fault of mine and chase never did cover anything for me when I activated it - cowboygoofy
