Anyone ever made fun of for liking Disneyland? I'm a 22 year old male. No one my age likes Disneyland--at least, they won't admit they do. My girlfriend teases me all the time for being on MouseWait and MiceChat (except the time it got her on TLM during CM previews). Anyone felt kind of embarrassed to be on here or tell people you're on here?

no one in my family does cos they're ALL the same way. i do get some weird looks from people who don't really know me when i start talking about disneyland. cos i talk about it with a PASSION. luckily i make friends with a lot of understanding people who think it's actually kinda cool. - nicoleface

I get teased but I don't care. Disney makes me happy and I dont care who knows it. I used to keep it to myself but I talk about it all the time now, I don't care what ppl think anymore. I grew up with Disney always loved it and always will. My friends/familycoworkers seem to find it obsessive but I don't care. We all have our passions some of us just have more magical ones :). I was able to convert my boyfriend for days that my brothers can't join me. I just find it funny when those who made jokes ask for tips for upcomibg trips :). Just be proud and enjoy the magic - onceuponatime

I'm 19 going on 20 and my bf used to say I was such a nerd and dork for being so into Disney but I noticed he would read mousewait anytime I was on it, then a couple of days ago I took him to the parks as a CM for the first time and something clicked for him! I grew up with everything Disney! It reminds me of my childhood and all the magic, that's why Disney and Disneyland is so dear to my heart. I still see everything with a childlike enthusiasm and wonder. I feel bad for people who don't love anything as much as I love Disney. Don't be ashamed to say you love Disney, people will always try to be against you and try to bring you down regardless if its Disney or another interest. I get made fun of all the time! I always have. My friends just don't understand. Now that they see me on MW they give me a "Talk" every single time about how I don't need to be on here because I will get killed or something hahaha. I went to the parks last week and they wouldn't let me do a in park RAK because it was too weird for them. *SIGH* oh well. They just don't get it. That's why we are all so awesome and they aren't. I get made fun of all the time. ALL THE TIME! I used to get sad over it but now my thoughts on it- to each its own. What is the difference between me loving Disneyland and Disney versus someone who loves watching ESPN all day and spends their money going to sports games?! So the idea that I would spend so much time and effort to repeat the experience seems a waste to a lot of people. No one should critisize you for liking Disneyland. I used to go every year with a friend from high school while we were in college and now I'm 30 and my wife and I go several times a year. It's a place where adults and children can enjoy themselves. It's truly a place where we leave all our troubles and concerns behind us once we go under those bridges. - icephoenix25

One time a freind made fun of me because I was wearing my MM ears at DL, she was a guest on my family trip, then she told everyone at school (University) about it, and the whole class made fun of me for the rest of the semester asking everyday were are my mouse ears. No one knows im on MW except my boyfriend. & he always teases me. Sometimes i want to share a pic or fact that was posted on here but he always rolls his eyes. It annoys me bcuz he does love disneyland and is super excited about our trip, but he trys to act like he doesnt care. When i met him 4 years ago i hated sports....
