Tip: You can order a meal with the kids' chicken instead of the regular seasoned chicken. What's great is that it's my Hispanic step-mom who does this--she can't handle spicy food at all! - Gruyère

I love the food there. I always eat there when I go. I feel like I get more food for my buck there and plus my 18 month old really likes the chicken and rice toddler meal they have there. - Jackie423

Love the Burrito Sonora. Portion is big. I order it with out the added onions/peppers they put in the burrito. Comes with rice & beans. They always seem to have a special item you can order thats not on menu. Last week was Maui Maui tacos. - Fauna

We went there on Friday. My husband enjoyed the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. I had the cheese enchiladas. They were okay but a little spicey. - MadAboutmouse

This is the only place i believe you get your moneys worth. Always yummy ans always fills me up. Dont bother with the enchiladas though, just because it's the cheapest thing on the menu doesn't mean you should order it. I always choose the chicken taco salad, the beef is way too spicy for me. I usually can't finish it. It's a nice feeling to be full and still have money in your wallet - GodOfWine

The food is not bad. The portions are bigger than other restaurants in the park. We go here mostly for the outdoor seating - especially nice at night. - Mj77

If u like this resturanut, but are at DCA try the Cocumunga place on the pier. It has a lot of the same dishes. - ToneLoc

We love going here. I don't normally like cheese enchiladas but like theirs. What shocks me is that my son says the carne asada fajitas he had there last time were the best fajitas he's ever had - and he eats a lot of fajitas. - Momvl
24.2 #4824 9:29AM
Tip - most people go to the main cash registers - on the right as you exit to the patio. Often the register to the left will be quickest if open. - Momvl

@Momvl - Interesting, I've never seen those open. Must not have gone when it was REALLY busy. Thanks for the tip. - Coaster

@treegardener That used to be a joke of mine. The food is terribble, but they make up for it by giving you huge portions. - Tom

We ate there in April for the first time. Food was ok. I would go back. Lots of choices. It was nice sitting outside. The view is nice and there are big, long tables for large groups or families. - Song

I absolutely love love love the atmosphere here, love it, but not the food. This. Is. Not. Mexican food. It's suprised me cause the chef here is very well known. But... The feel of this place is so nice that I'll get food from somewhere else, walk over and eat here. If there is something on the menu that's dine well please tell me and I'll try it. - Cd9

CJ and I like the Food! The food and you can share a half breast plate to save money. It is a good amount of food and u can add sides or extra tortillas. I think the food is yummy! But yes I agree if you are expecting Mexican it is not super authentic, it is more Americanized. Most people like that better though these days. It's like going for chinees but chosing to eat at panda express. Still yummy just different. - Sassie_Cass

Ate there for this first time this Sunday... mehh, not great. Than again, I'm used to authentic Mexican food, thanks to Grandma. I agree the portions are fair for the price you pay (better than a slice of pizza & vitamin water at Pizza Port!) - iFramedRogerRabbit

The enchilladas. I also like cocumunga in DCA but I like the atmosphere here better. It is more like TEX-Mex than mexican but it is better than any of the mexican places in DTD. - Eraf61

If cocumunga ever brings back their Dulce de Leche cheesecake you must run not walk to get it. It is the best. - Eraf61
