Hey all
I want to share an awesome story about my family trip to disneyland last year. In march 2010 I took my family(me my wife and 3 kids) on a 4 week holiday to USA (we live in Australia) I want to start by saying that what a fantastic country the united states is,the people are so friendly and the country side is breath taking.
We spent 4 says at DL and it is the happiest place on earth. The attention to detail on every little thing is amazing,my wife left her sunglasses on Indiana jones ride and someone handed them in to lost and found, she left her cell phone under the golden gate bridge at Disney California,we notified lost and found and when we returned to Australia it was in our letter box. How cool is that?
We left the US amazed at how nice the people were! I still get goose bumps when I think about the trip. Thankyou Disneyland.
As an Aussie who has lived in the US (but is currently back in Oz), I would like to say that your assessment is absolutely correct. America is an amazing country - not least because it is full of amazing Americans. I'm very privileged to count some of the MOST amazing Americans amongst my dearest friends. BTW, when you say "nothinsuss" - who are you trying to convince? Just kidding! Welcome to MW! - BLG

Oh wow! Just clicked on your name and saw your car - and you're in Perth?? Or near Freo, perhaps? I'm in Perth too! Maybe we can have a mini MW meetup way down here finally! That would be one for the books! - BLG

Thank you for the kind words. It's refreshing for me to know that not everyone in the world thinks we're rude. :D Glad you had a great trip and hope to see you back some day. @Bigchris, happy birthday! - Warpedlogic

That's great! I'm in Jane Brook - after Midland right before you go up Toodyay Road to the hills, if you know where that is. Swan Valley. Anyway, I hope you will stick around and become part of the furniture around here. There aren't many Aussies who do. - BLG

What a coincidence! My last trip to DL was late March last year and ran into three teenaged Australian girls who had been separated from their parents by the confusion of the fireworks show. I tried to help them, but all I found was that my phone won't call an Australian number. . . - DelilahJo3

You would've needed the country code plus to drop the zero at the front. Our mobile numbers work differently. - BLG

They dialed it, not me. I apparently don't have an international plan. Which is fine by me because I have very few friends beyond the borders. - DelilahJo3

They may not have been aware how to do it either. I lived there and had to work it out. Pheno - my hubby is from Melbourne :) - BLG
