Disneyland website is showing the Matterhorn will be going down for refurbishment this summer and will open again september 1st- is this so they can put in the new Bobsleds?

Maybe. Someone here mentioned that during the testing done last year, it was found that the new sleds were too heavy for the track & had to be re-engineered. That's all I know - SergZak 3125.8 #14 6:42PM
