I would love some advice/input about Fantasmic! My daughter (3yo) is DYING to see the show and she watches it on YouTube everyday. We're going to DL on 6/7 and I was wondering if the dessert preferred seating for Fantasmic is worth it? It's so expensive! I also have a 3 month old so not sure if I should just park us at a restaurant to watch it. Any feedback would be so very appreciated!
Are you willing to camp out at the restaurant or seating area for at least a couple of hours to get a good enough view for a 3 year old? I did it once when my Fantasmic loving son was 3 and we got food to go from the riverbell and had waterside seats and my baby napped while we waited. As long as you're willing to dedicate that amount of time to saving spots, then you don't have to spend the money. - Polkadobo

I would just camp out! Get some snacks and maybe get the lil ones to take a nap!! It's worth the wait for a good spot! Enjoy! - Pinup Princess

We've done the preferred seating twice. First time our kids were almost 2 and 5. For us it was totally worth it because there was no way we were going to be able to hold a spot for so long to get defer viewing. The dessert tray is so yummy and you get to stay in your seating for the fireworks, if the schedule works that way. That being said, we did it te second time because the first our youngest slept thru the whole thing. So keep in mine they probably won remember it but I did it just as much for me. ;) I'd love to give youa few tips if you do decide to do it. - Pineapplewhip

I'd have to agree w/disneycrazy. Especially since there will be more people in the park in June. To get a really nice spot, camp out. Buy dinner & eat it picnic style, relax, people watch & wait for the show! - weaver941

We did preferred seating in April and would do it again. We ate out of those dessert boxes for a week! They are huge. And since we only get to the park once a year it was worth it to us. - Suzie-Q

I'm just going to let you know that at the restaurants it's not the best view. I would try getting to the ROA and camp it out. You can take a break and someone can get dinner and bring it over and you can reserve yourself a nice seat in the remain seated spots. Don't get me wrong I've sat in the area that is reserved before they started doing the dinning experience there but I just don't think it's worth it. You can stand on the ramp that leads from adventureland to POTC/ROA and see a great view without having to arrive early and you can see over everyone. - Smart.tea

i would definitely do the dessert seating again, i thought it was worth it to not fight the crowds and get a great view and a wonderful dessert. - mildchyld

You should do it, it's totally worth the $$$$! You get an amazing view of the show, guaranteed, and the dessert boxes are huge (and tasty!). Def. the best way to watch the show. - oxjulietelizabethxo

If you have a 3m old I wouldn't do it. Say you pay all that money and one of you has to leave to take the baby away because the baby is freaked out? The show is quiet loud and has a canon you can hear across the park fire during the Peter pan sequence. Also the smoke from the fire sits on top of ROA pretty thick and I wouldn't want my 9m old sucking all that in muchless a 3m old. I'm pretty loosy goosey about a lot of stuff but all of that stuff is so thick at times it's the reason why we've chosen not to sit up close for the show - Smart.tea

If you don't want to spend the $ I would wait for the second showing. What I usually what I do is during the first show I wait by the haunted mansion fastpass area( they won't let you stop any closer) and once the show is over they move everyone to the opposite side,so I go to the front and it's usually clear.always end up sitting in the front, be sure to ask a cm where you can walk down once the crowd has moved, they can usually give you a better idea of the best route. Hope this helps, have fun! - starrynight

We've done the preferred seating twice. It's so nice because you can show up 15 mins. before showtime and you've got an absolute great seat and a tasty food tray and drinks. We camped out a great spot for the fireworks in front of the castle and then made our way to the second show. Worked out excellent. - icephoenix25
