Yah during Halloween, the car just stopped all of a sudden the after freaking out thinking that another car was going to ram us the lights turned on and I saw all the other cars stopped at certain points of the attraction. We sat there for a few minutes and then with no sound and lights on we continued on. - Dizney37

Yes, years ago. Stopped in the middle and they put lights on and you could see other cars stopped. Sat a while. Then ride resumed with lights on. Funny not as fast. - SUUZinOC

The darkness and blowing fans in SM create the illusion of speed. Take those away and the ride is not the same. Same holds true for BTMRR...it feels alot faster when you ride at night. - SergZak
