Read this today, think it applies to a lot of posts here.
Today, I get to choose what type of day I'll have. Today I can complain about the rain or I can be thankful the grass, plants, and flowers are getting watered for free. Today I can grumble about my health or rejoice that I am alive. Today I can whine about having to go to work, or I can rejoice that I have a job to go to. Today I can murmur dejectedly about housework or I can be grateful that I have a place to rest my mind, body, and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me waiting to be shaped, and here I am the sculptor who gets to do the shaping. What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I'll have.

I've used this before for an inservice I gave during nursing school. I purposely chose it because morale was low from the exhaustion and the hoops we had to jump through. I pull it out and read it often. It's also one of my notes on Facebook too. - KissDclown

You are correct kissdclown. I shortened it just a bit for mw sake. Pretty cool saying. As a nurse or in my case, police officer, I think we see more bad than most, so we have to always remind ourselves of the positives. Otherwise it eats you up. Hope this brigthened or gave perspective to some people's day. - unclebeezy

Not sure if I posted this before, I had heard the phrase, "Blessed with work" many times before. I would think, how could anyone be blessed with work. Until I was laid off and couldn't find a comparable job for over a year. Now when I go to work each morning, I actually say that every morning when I get out of bed. - ZombieJerky

. I been having a bad month so I try to wake up and try again to have a good day. I wrote on my door " forget about yesterday.. Today will be a great day" seeing this everyday helps - mozbaby

The power of positive thinking. I'd go nuts if I dwelled on all the negative garbage I deal with everyday at work. The human psyche can't make sense of it. So, I'll find the good even in the bad and move on. - unclebeezy
