My boyfriend bought us both annual passes for christmas. We still have yet to make it to the parks. Is there a time period where the passes will automatically expire?

On your one year anniversary, right? - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.2 #285 1:06PM
Annual pass. Good for one year :) so the date u bought it but one year later is when it expires  - RickeyCalifornia  157.0 #2191 1:07PM

Mine says "valid thru" followed by an experation date. Right on the back of the pass under the name - AgentP  113.1 #2851 1:10PM
On the contrary, Miss California, if the tickets were bought online, the first day you use them is when the year of the pass begins. - Marieeezy  588.9 #186 1:11PM
Have you activated the passes? Taken your picture? If so then the pass expires on that date. If you have not activated your pass then technically you don't have an experation date yet. - PlaidCM  186.4 #1794 1:14PM
Oh I didn't know u can buy them online! Neat :) - RickeyCalifornia  157.0 #2191 1:15PM
Our passes haven't been activated yet. So is there an expiration on them if we don't get them activated yet? - BrookeA6100  37.8 #4069 3:26PM
What PlaidCM said :) - RickeyCalifornia  157.0 #2191 3:33PM
Wow-- I had no idea it could be so complicated! It sounds like PlaidCM gave you a great answer, but if you're still feeling a little confused, maybe it's best to call DLR? :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.2 #285 3:37PM
If they have not been activated yet, then once you walk through the gates for the first time that will be your experation date. Just don't loose the paper ticket. It can't be replaced since it's not in the system yet. - PlaidCM  186.4 #1794 3:45PM
If u bought it online its one year from when u first use it at the park - freakodisney  114.5 #2820 3:50PM
BAHAHAHA!!! - Katrayher  739.0 #138 4:05PM
I am new here, so this is my first comment...but I wanted to mention that you can activate your pass (and enjoy the park that day) anytime, even if it is a "black out date." - WagsWife  9.6 #6873 4:45PM
Fantastic! My question is resolved. Thank you! - BrookeA6100  37.8 #4069 10:57PM
I heard you can't upgrade to a Pass if the Pass you want is blocked out the day you want to upgrade. Is that true? I'm asking cause now @Wags is saying you can activate on a block out date. - craziemutant  109.6 #2909 11:07PM
If you buy your AP online there is a redeem by date. Should be on your printout. - Coaster  9139.5 #1 12:27AM
