Well sometimes newbies do get bashed. If a person decides to use mw and gets bashed for asking a question or posting the wrong picture then they are inclined to leave a negative review and not come back. I don't see how you can blame a person for " only trying it once" if they felt bashed the one time they tried it lol... (although someone might figure out a way to blame them lol) :-) ;-) '-) - Sam241

I'm fairly new and I have realized that newbies shouldn't post much. I'm taking my time, reading what is in the lounge, and commenting on occasion. I cringe everytime I hit submit because I don't want to get "attacked". I agree that it is a bit clique-ish and it's "ok" for certain MWers to post things that it isn't "ok" for others to post. However, will all that being said, MW is great! I also see that the more people get to know you, the more inviting everyone is. Just read the facts and take your time. Most everyone here is kind and very helpful. - missyhidy

If people could give sites like MiceChat a star rating, it would be far worse than MW. Where people converge, there will be drama, and Disney sites will attract people who are creative and passionate about something they truly love. People who pop in here and post gross or blurry pictures don't pick up on the vibe right away, and the reviews they post are biased. - Missshelly

I just started posting, but have been on and reading MouseWait for a LONG time. I have noticed times of major drama in the past and lots of "groups" of people. I have been shy meeting people for those reasons. The bad reviews are always going to be part of a public forum or social media, not everyone is a fan is this lounge or it's contents! The lounge is definitely a roller coaster. And sadly it is some of "the vets" that make it uncomfortable for me most of the time. Luckily I've made a some friends on here and I hava tough skin, so I'm not going anywhere. Haha. - disney42dude(CM)

I've been on MW for over a year and have met some of my best friends ever here, through this app. It's a great community in it's infancy, it continues to grow, develop, expand and reach new people who love Disney. There are bumps along the way, but for the most part it's just a great laughing place, and a place where we all can come together and share in our love of Disney. As with any group of people that have spent so much time together, there are inside jokes, friendships and groups that tend to congregate. But we are mostly the friendliest bunch of people you will ever meet. - Zooter

Micechat is a website about Disney. It has a huge following and more drama than you can shake a stick at. I think the difference between the people who have been around for awhile and new people is that the new people take this all way too seriously. Why worry about posting, unless you know without a doubt that you shouldnt post it? Why look for friends in a lounge of people that you think are offending you? It doesn't make sense when I read reviews like that. Unless Apple has created an app where you can be visually ridiculed after posting something, you should not be worried - Missshelly

I also understand inside jokes are part of this app and there has been lots of friendships made. I just finished reading the bad reviews and if everyone would step back and just listen to what is said it seems to have a similar tone. Being just a reader of MW I have seen nice good people picked on, making them upset, therefore they tend to write bad reviews. In the past I have seen people get upset and vets just cant let it go (posting pics to MW flickr, etc.) even in this post vets are showing a hard edge about this subject. Just sometimes think people on here need to be more open to the random people and personalities on this site. - magicmouse33

I have never met anyone personally, a few people seem to be a bit intimidating, other than that, I love MouseWait! I'm on it all the time looking at the live pictures, learning new facts, ect. I wish I could go to the reunion, but I took my kids out of school for a week in October. I'll be there in June, I'll have to see if I'm brave enough to meet anyone when I go! - JessM4

I don't know how bad it is on the App store but on the Android market the ratings are not that bad, I scrolled through a few and only saw one bad one that made reference to the lounge! The rest were mostly when Admin was switching the server and people were being bumped out. I didn't think it was terrible. I love MW! :0) - iyuzMickey

I was going to address a bunch of stuff I read through on this thread but I think what PixieMom said pretty much sums it up and is really all I need to say. haha. Yeah, as I was reading it made me sad, I feel like everyone in the lounge should take those comments into consideration when posting, just to be knowledgeable. To be intentional in making sure everyone feels welcome, because, DL being the example, more people will come, and it will be the happiest app on earth if we can just learn to welcome

I undrstand people have there own opinions but the comments about the lounge bug me. Yes sometimes there ate some posts that get away with stuff but get over it, nothing in life is perfect. This seems like it has become a big mouse wait lounge therapy session. I feel like I identify with all of the comments on here. I love reading in the lounge, but I am way hesitant to post things in here. My first hello post I got slammed bc my 11 year old wanted me to mention our favorite "ride" and I got the usual snark about that. Some of the tone in the lounge isn't exactly up to what admin says the tone in here should be. Honestly though, what place could fit admin's expectation for the tone in the lounge. All that said, I'm still here reading and enjoying posts and pictures. I enjoy this app and even though it isn't a perfect utopia, I accept it for what it is and don't need to write a bad review just because people aren't perfect. - TFDland
