Tooting my own horn and spreading the love via a RAK at the same time. I got officer of the year up here in northern California and I threw together some police stuff, toy story (woody's a fellow officer) and I still got some other goodies to throw in. Got the award for my work with special olympics, relay for life, youth groups, and other philanthropic efforts so tell me what volunteer work you do and you are entered. Good luck, we'll run it through Friday night let's say midnight since I'm on duty that night.

Was so excited to enter forgot to put what I do...I volunteer at the boys an girls club where I live tutoring and doing daycare while parents are at adult classes. - azzyjay

That is awesome. I teach parents how to advocate for their children with autism and help guide them on their path. It is a cause that is very special to me. - LoveLove

I volunteer for little league every year by being the official scorekeeper and I also coach cheerleading for our local youth football organization. I have no children who cheer, I do because I love it and the girls I coach. - Mrsblue

I am PTC president at my daughters school, so I am volunteering all the time at school but my favorite volunteer job is at the Multnomah County Animal Shelter here in Oregon. I help train the dogs, work at adoption outreach events and I foster dogs as well. :0) - iyuzMickey

I volunteer at my son's preschool and participate annually in a walk to raise money for non-profit group homes for developmentally delayed adults in Corona (my uncle is a resident). I also volunteer a lot of sleep, money and crafting abilities to major MW meetups lol. I wish I could do more for our community (like i did prior to having kids) but with two little ones, a husband in grad school, life gets busy. So we donate to lots of causes from NPR to nonprofits that support marriage equality. Throughout my career, I have only worked for non-profit organizations. - Polkadobo
