Enter me please! My favorite memory of not just POTC, but my favorite CM memory as well, was when I was 5 years old and I was absolutely terrified of the POTC attraction at WDW. I went on it once on a previous visit and I didn't like it. I guess it was because of the drop at the beginning. Anyways, my mom asked a CM to talk to me and convince me it wasn't as bad as I thought. She explained to me how tall the drop actually was, and that there are cameras in every room, so if something goes wrong they would know. When she was done talking to me, I decided to go on and she gave me a gold pirates coin! I ended up enjoying it and now it's one of my favorite attractions. - MissAriel  40.8 #3975 10:57AM
...not sure if this counts but since you only said 'pirates' :) - my friends and I had a giant capture the flag game- Ninja vs. Pirates. My team captain dressed up as Jack Sparrow. not long after POTC first reopened with the new Capt Jack in the ride my kids and I waited in line to ride, only it had broken down and we had a choice to wait or leave, well we waited. . we were one of the first few boats on when it reopened.. . not a sound was happening. It was quite eerie going on the ride wiithout any sound, and this being the first time we had not a clue what was supposed to be said during the new enhancements. The sound returned right as we were going up, about midway up in fact it came back on. Now there were a few boats ahead of us, not one of them complained, but our boat had already decided we were going to have our own mutinay of sorts. . we all refused to leave the boat! they had to promise us we would get another boat, but that we had toleave that particular boat, so two boats later we were back on, however I'm pretty sure the castmembers were not pleased with us as we started something, all the boats that we could hear before riding again did the same thing! Soo that ride meant so much more with the sound effects, kind of cool getting to ride back to back though! - arliepooh68  0.1 #74698 1:05PM
My best memory is going to opening night of second movie I'm costume. What made it even better was seeing my friend on the big screen! He was only an extra, but he had some face time!! - DisneylandFan2  427.2 #297 1:09PM
My favorite memory was riding POTC with my friend for her first time this last summer. Of course she loved it! - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 1:11PM
My favourite memory is when my sister & I were at the first Pirates Premire. We got SO claustrophobic inside Disneyland we made our way to the Grand to go check it out cause we wanted to explore. We found some chairs in the lobby & sat down for about 10 mins. All of a sudden the room got quiet, then after about 30 seconds volume picked up again. Lots of laughing and giggling, people just having a good old fun time. I turn around low and behold there's Orlando Bloom his gf Kate, Johnny & Family, Kiera & I believe her mom. They were all laughing & joking with eachother having a good old time. Kiera was ALL giggles. Johnny would walk around to people within the group striking up quick conversation. Orlando was holding Kates hand the entire time. Disney was amazing, the staff saw us in the room never asked us to leave or move (we were about 10 feet from the cast) they just let everyone sit there and starre. They were there for about 15 mins talking, goofing around, then they were separated and escorted by security and plaids. - Jessss  330.9 #469 1:11PM

My favorite memory was when I was about 6 and my aunt took me to DL with some of her friends and their daughter. I think my favorite memory was being there for the reopening of pirates. It was the day after the POTC 2 premiere and that was the longest time I've ever had to wait for Pirates. It was fun to see Jack Sparrow though. But now I wish that I had been on that rode more than once before the change because I don't remember what it was like. - OrcDorkAlly  0.6 #47450 4:33PM
My favorite Pirates memory is the smell as you walk in the front entrance. It triggers that magical feeling. It always has. - JustGoofyDad  2130.7 #32 4:46PM
It was my little brothers first time on POTC, he was about 5. We started to pass Blue Bayou and he asks me if we could eat there, I told him that we would go later and he said "Ok, I want chicken tenders." The guy in the seat ahead of us turned around and asked me "did he just say he wanted a gin and tonic!? " We stared at each other for a few seconds and started busting up laughing. That was the best experience on POTC! Now, everytime we get on Me and bro look at each other and giggle. - WishingUponAStar  133.2 #2544 4:53PM

My favorite memory is just last month. My little girl was there for the first time, she insisted on riding pirates at least twice a day. On our very last ride of POTC, going up the long steep ending, she raised her arms up (like on a roller coaster).. I said to her "Sweetie, what are you doing? There is no drop coming up, the ride is almost over".. she said to me "This is my last ride mommy, I'm going to pretend we are about to drop down a big one" ........ SMILE came over my heart, this is what Walt was made of, dreams and pretend =) - jeana121180  12.2 #6180 5:00PM

So awesome!! I have a nice collection of maps, and this would fit right in! My memory: When Pirates first came out, I refused to watch it. I assumed it could freak me out, so I just had no desire to see it. Well, when the 2 movie came out, I was visiting my grandma and she went to take us to the movies, and she decided on that one, despite my unhappiness. Since then, I've always loved them!! Thank you so much! Awesome RAK! :) - Amanda  120.4 #2734 2:40PM
When we were younger, my sister, cousin and I would get a stick and try yo get some of the pirate's bounty. It never worked. - rainbowlite  13.5 #5911 2:42PM

When the people in the seats in front of us kept flashing pictures of themselves with their camera. Since they had the camera turned at them me and my wife in the seats behind them we were blinded by the flashes. They took what felt like a million pictures. The ride staff apologized to us and let us ride alone in our own boat and gave us a fast pass voucher for any ride of our choice. - anthony91765  20.8 #4977 4:28PM
When I was 7, went to DL with my mom & her best friend. They decided that we were riding POC, even though I was deathly afraid of water. lol So they put me on kicking & screaming. Im sure no one on the boat enjoyed that ride. I know I didnt... - Minniemousemamma  12.2 #6191 4:32PM

My favorite pirates memory was when we finally talked my 6 year old daughter into riding the ride only to go over the drops and the power goes out. She was like daddy we stopped why I said there will be a guy come to walk us off the ride. She thought I said the pirate was gonna come get us and make us walk the plank lol like in the movies I said no hunny we will be ok..... she said ok daddy I trust you but if they do you go first lol - cowboygoofy  211.5 #1462 5:43PM

My favorite memory was with my mom. It was around 10pm and very few people were left in the park that day. We went on POTC like 5 or 6 times in a row so that we could get a few good pictures of "Jack Sparrow". We were switching seats with each other and everything trying to get the best shots! Fun times! - DizneyGurlll  186.0 #1798 6:45PM
