Welcome! I say start with a few you really love and a few mystery packs to trade away to cast members for other stuff that you really love. - SnowBrown

Welcome! I started by collecting pins of my favorite characters like Goofy, Aladdin & Jasmine. And then I collected pins that had my name on it like the Soarin' California Wings, DCA pin, etc. - nittywitty

Collect what you like. The dollar pins that are usualt mysteries are fun to collect and trade off. I also collected pins for the rides in the park. I have a large pin collection of HM and POTC. Go look at the pin traders (near the fort) I don't know the days or hours. Fun to lOok at what they have and great to chat with them. They have good info! Happy pin collecting - hippoluver

I'm trying hard to scroll thru and "Bump" or comment on the non-drama posts, it's so hard. I'm sure the longer we ignore, they will eventually get bored and move on to another forum where they can get the attention they crave. - nittywitty

Howzit Joe.... I would collect pins that catch your eye.. I go for pins that have sentimental meaning... Based on the trip. - gooftroop808

I say you let your own fancies guide you when it comes to pins. It used to be that if the pin had a small Mickey insignia it was considered more valuable (because they're given to cast members instead of being sold), but I've heard that that's not really the case anymore. If you love a certain character, grab those! (It's the reason why I've ended up with so many Tink and Stitch items.) Wanna commemorate a certain time of year? They got those, too! Just be careful not to overload your lanyard if you're gonna be walking around all day -- one pin doesn't weigh very much, but put a bunch together and suddenly you need a chiropractor. - babserella2778
