I am rather new here but I have made it to level ten and I have learned a few things along the way. My first few visits did not go well but I decided to stick it out and see if I could fit in. I am no Mouse Wait expert, but here is what I figured out to help get through the first few weeks. I hope this helps other newbies. 1: Never post a picture. Way to risky. 2: Never post a roll call. It is easy and there are several good examples listed in post, but in the stress of the moment you will choke and make a mistake. Again, way too risky for a beginner. 3: Avoid using the words "RAK", "Lanyard", "Attraction","Ride", "Planking" or "Leggings". 4: Do not attempt a Vinylmation Theater. Now, you may notice others doing these things. You may see blurry pictures of someone's dog licking their RAK or a comment like "I have attractions for seeing loose lanyards on bumpy rides". These post are ok. They are made by "OGs" that have learned the subtlies and nuisances of posting. They should not be attempted by newbies. When will you get to the point that you can try such post? If you have to ask, you are not there yet. If you do miss step along the way you may get reprimanded. Don't worry. A reprimand from an OG is like swatting a dog on the nose with a rolled up newspaper. It may startle you but it doesn't really hurt. For now, stick with "Welcome", "Good Morning", "LOL" and "enter me, please". Above all. BE POLITE. Please and thank you go along way. In time you will be posting like a pro. I hope these tips help. I know that your time and patience will be rewarded with many new friendships and countless hours of Disney Magic here on Mouse wait.

While this is a great post for newbies, myself being a semi newbie, and it gives alot of great tips, evey person started out new and everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard, whether a person feels it's a "stupid" post or a "veteran" post. We are all one big community that share the a common love...Disneyland...So I there should be no protocol set in place, just be polite and be yourself. It does make it harder for the newbies to post something when clicks are already formed and they try hard to "fit in." I've posted and shared my love and ideas. Some post have comments, others don't. Do I care, maybe a little because I'm one of those trying to make friends on here. It's just gonna make it less fun if I have to follow guidelines . Maybe venting now, but I lov Mousewait and the people here, everyone is nice. It just makes me sad when I see groups or clicks or people outcastes because they are new or a veteran. - Aurora_2020

There are a lot of people who think things should be a certain way. This is irrelevant and the only things that matter is that the terms and conditions are followed and only Disney or MW related pictures are posted in the lounge. The rest should be posted to Flickr.
