Besides the disney hotels which hotels are the best to stay in within walking distance to the park?

Besides being on property, we have stayed at three different resorts. Hojo has a low price but the walk was hard on out kids after a few days, fairfield inn on harbor was great and a shorter walk. Lately we've been staying at the Tropicana Inn-it's super close, clean and they have a simple free breakfast. We are staying there again when we go in May - TFDland

We like the Howard Johnson. They have passholder rates if you have APs. Great kids water play area and another nice pool too. A must if you go in the summer. They also have free wi fi. We also like the Tropicana. SO close! Tends to be a little more expensive. - redrockmickey

We are staying at the anaheim plaza...I've never stayed there but heard it's not bad and booked it for $55 on priceline. We dont plan on being in the room that much anyway - summergirl3

We stay at the Candy Cane Inn. It's right next door to the park,10 min walk, continental breakfast, clean rooms, beautiful landscape and they have their own shuttle in case you don't want to walk. - Diznimom
