WARNING do not buy an AP off craigslist or anywhere other than Disneyland. In an effort to get premium passes for my wife and two daughters I did and know I'm out my $1400 and have no passes. I just want to warn everyone so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I'll have to save up all over again but we'll be back eventually. Be careful guys.
That's terrible. So sorry this happened to you!

Thx Anne. I should have just bought them from Disneyland. I hope they catch the person responsible. I'll save up and get AP's again because we had a great time in the few weeks we had them. - chrisjrTCB

Wow! Yeah craigslist is probably not the best place. Anyone can create a listing and there is no feedback system or fraud protection. eBay may be stretch as well for tickets but usually you can view the feedback to see if the seller is a good one. Sorry this happened to you. - DisneyMomma

.....We could have told you that. Many people who buy/sell video game consoles or iphones end up getting robbed at the meet. If you do make the same mistake again and try to buy something from Craigslist, see if they will meet you inside a police station lobby instead of the back end of a grocery parking lot. And keep cool, stay in school. - HotDiggityDogDaddy

So I did the math and 3 premium annual passes come out to $1377. Why would you pay someone else $1400 instead of going through the house of mouse. - HotDiggityDogDaddy

I got one for myself so 4 total. They went into the park with me and I only paid after the AP process was complete. I was able to use them for almost three weeks before I was contacted by Disney today with the bad news. I gave them some good info on the seller and they seem hopeful they'll catch them. They said they may be able to recover the money or help me get new passes. Another example of Disneys caring nature. I'll hope for the best. Thanks for the kind words those of u who posted them. Mahalo. - chrisjrTCB

File a police report? Call your credit cars company? Why on earth would you buy it off craigs list anyway? - KissDclown

The police and Disneyland investigators have all the information I had on the person. They seem optimistic about catching her. She did it to 71 people. I just wanted to warn anyone who may be thinking about it. I've had numerous good experiences on craigslist and ebay. I just ran into a bad person. Hopefully it will work out good in the end. Thanks for listening. - chrisjrTCB

The person bought them online with a stolen credit card I think. Then sold them to me for a savings of about $100 each. I bought 4 of them. The fraud was discovered then Disneyland cancelled the cards. I'm assuming the fraud was noticed when they received a bill that's why the worked for 3 weeks. It seemed so legit but I just hope they catch her. - chrisjrTCB
