I've always wondered what Disneyland's PG&E bill looks like  lol

haha me too! imagine what an average day costs. - mochamistie  273.2 #1136 3:32PM
No kidding!!! - DLlover  19.4 #7460 3:33PM
Eh ... They can afford it - DisneyVillainLover  258.4 #1271 3:33PM
Especially at Christmas! - ERICKA  491.5 #433 3:35PM
I've thought about that before too...sure it is crazy!! - MinnieMousewife  914.1 #201 3:35PM
Oh em gee! Glad to know that I'm not the only one who wondered that - disneychick  235.8 #1525 3:50PM
I'd rather see how much they make a yr on our AP purchases - darthsean  74.4 #4053 3:51PM
Omg me too lots of money for sure - DLR_Fan  275.0 #1115 3:52PM
I heard they have around 1 million Ap so my guess is around 400 million - goofball  473.6 #451 3:55PM
Well I hear they pay fines for every fireworks show - cesium55  531.8 #390 4:48PM
wow crazy - candymation  286.1 #1001 4:49PM
Why would they have to pay fines for fireworks? - CravingDisney  150.1 #2716 4:50PM
My guess would be either for noise violations or because fireworks are technically illegal in anahiem, but I've never heard that they pay fines before so who knows - Pixarprincess  544.4 #375 4:51PM
I would think permits would be involved and fireworks end before 10. Hmm? Never heard such a thing. - CravingDisney  150.1 #2716 4:54PM
Noise ordinance is after 10 so I don't see why they would have to pay a fine....oh and Disney generates a lot of thirr own power - Dave  13493.0 #2 4:55PM
They provide there own power. They may have to pay for transmission of that power cause pg&e still has a monopoly. - GoofyJoe  1906.6 #87 4:57PM
The fireworks question I asked on the behind the scenes tour. The shells are short up over Disney property so most of the trash stays on site. Disney pays a company to go out daily to collect any trash after. - GoofyJoe  1906.6 #87 5:00PM
@ mrsminnie. I'm sure they will be happy to switch bills with you - skywalker  268.5 #31 5:06PM
With the pyro they are using for the fireworks, the only "cleanup" would be unloading the pyro. Like in Fantasmic, Just disconnect it from the electrical sockets, then you throw away the empty shell in a special "Pyro trash" bin, then dispose of that properly. I worked at Universal as Show Crew, and had to load and unload pyro. I have Great Respect for the crew that loaded and unloaded Fantasmic! in the rain a few months back... Not fun one bit. - Qúorra  2.4 #58702 5:06PM
If we cancel Fantasmic due to rain or anything, they blast off all of the fireworks after every guest has left. Can't really keep fireworks underwater over night. - BaseballMickey_CM  7560.9 #11 5:09PM
@Baseball It was fun to watch all the pyro go off when it was raining and too windy at Waterworld. - Qúorra  2.4 #58702 5:12PM
If disneyland was fined for each fireworks show I would think it would be from epa for emissions or air quality. Just a thought. - cinderellasmommy  133.0 #2994 5:32PM
How does disneyland generate its own power? Do they have solar panels? - cinderellasmommy  133.0 #2994 5:42PM
I bet that bill is insane! - JW-92  128.7 #3060 5:49PM
Anaheim has a municipal power utility. Like LA has DWP. - Tom  11116.2 #6 5:49PM
Back in the day when SCE used more primitive technology, I used to change out the time of use magnetic tapes in Magic Mountain. I think there were 5 small electrical substations there. - Tom  11116.2 #6 5:52PM
The fireworks are actually Disney-patented. The launch system is state-of the art. It uses air-pressured canons, instead of using gun powder, which pollutes the air. In order to test this new system, the imagineers packed up everything and tested it out in the Gobi Desert. The new system premiered in the Christmas fireworks show in 2004. - BaseballMickey_CM  7560.9 #11 5:55PM
Cool info BBMCM! - Tom  11116.2 #6 5:57PM

@ cinderellasmommy, I've done a little work down at San Onofre. I work for SCE. Various jobs over the years. I teach meter testmen now. I've also worked a little at third party cogens back when I used to work on system protection relaying. I did that for 12 years. - Tom  11116.2 #6 6:53PM
Monstropolis is powering the park with the laughter of children:) - miguelg916  56.8 #4512 7:00PM
Thanks! Well, we used this as an example on how Disney is becoming more "green". It was part of a discussion we had in my college program class. - BaseballMickey_CM  7560.9 #11 7:07PM
