That is a bummer! At least since it's his first trip he won't really know what he missed, and there is so much else to do, it won't even phase him. It will be so much fun regardless, just don't focus on what you won't see :) - TandAlly

My boyfriend built his own light saber yesterday. It took him a good 45 minutes to figure our how to do it. But he had fun. It's in the shop as soon as you exit Space Mountain. - JenInWonderland

Depending on their age.....bibbity bobbity boutique also has a prince package. They put colored mickey heads in their hair and they get a sword and shield. Much less expensive than the princess packages too! - kerbear

In Downtown Disney is Ridemakerz (next to Wetzel's Pretzels) where kids can build their own car (remote control or not). They have character cars like Lightning & Mater. We have yet to do it but we have checked it out...looks like fun! http://tinyurl.com/3et2jc3 - SergZak
