Just read this on twitter. Anyone know what this is about? "Starting April 6 there will no longer be photos on Disneyland Resort Annual Passes. You can upload your own photo from home(to be on file)!"

that wouldn't make sense... then anyone could use your AP if you don't have your picture! - legoalex  123.9 #2664 7:56AM
Yeah, I thought it seemed odd too. Sounds like you do have to have a photo assigned to it though. Maybe you can't change it once you upload it?? - LillyBelle  77.1 #3316 8:01AM
Who do you follow that mentioned that? - CaliCanuck  511.7 #229 8:11AM
Thats funny because everytime we go the CM looks at the screen and then looks for the person whos pic comes up on the screen also using names and counts the people. There is no way they are going to let other people use someone elses AP. Those CM's are trained a certain way to avoid this, Disney is not going to miss out on money. I would like that other MWer to show us how she/he does that and all though a nice thing to do for someone else if this was the norm it will eventually trickle down to all other MWers with AP's paying more for thier yearly enjoyment of the parks. - luvlilo  19.9 #5065 8:43AM
My brother and my boyfriend switched passes as they were walking through the ticket booth and the lady didn't notice, it was just for fun though. We wouldn't ever try and get anyone else in with our pass because that would be lying. - Tangled  11.2 #6423 8:52AM
I follow someone called Imagineer something. I have to double check the name. Also, the CMs always check me against my picture when I go in the park. - LillyBelle  77.1 #3316 8:54AM
I get checked once in a while..I let my sister use my pass cause I mean we look exactly the same! But that's it..most of the time when its either late or super busy they just scan and go - DisneyVillain  355.8 #400 9:04AM
I know two other people who switch passes. It all depends on the CM, but Disneyland is not losing anything because they will run the attractions all day every day whether the seats are filled or not. Disney is multimillion dollar corporation. I highly doubt one robinhood like teaparty will throw them under. - PrincessLeanne  146.5 #2341 9:04AM
Maybe they are switching to fingerprint scan for APs like Universal Studios? - Mickey_M  14.3 #5776 9:42AM
Yep. They told us about that yesterday. There's a whole page explanation on why they're doing it. I'll try to read it and will report back to you guys. - BaseballMickey_CM  2849.1 #15 9:49AM
Tokyo Disney has finger scans too....I hope they don't switch :( I don't like the feeling of some place having my thumb print - DisneyVillain  355.8 #400 9:50AM
Jusy checking: was this tweet from yesterday or today? - LisaKL  748.4 #135 9:50AM
Really?? Will look out for your update, BbMCM. Ditto disneyvillain... - luvMickey  491.7 #243 9:59AM
I assume it will show up on the screen when you enter, but not printed on the card. Maybe so if you lose the ap no one tries to use it? - bluefairy  627.1 #174 10:21AM
I admit I have allowed someone to use my pass who couldnt afford to get in. Last month I accidentally took my old EXPIRED AP instead of my current one. Not only did the CM at the Toy Story lot not notice, but the CM at Disneylad didn't bother to look at the screen and let me right in. I kept wondering all day why I couldn't get a Fastpass. That night when I made my way over DCA the CM there actually showed me on his screen that I had an expired pass. So I guess only 1 out of 3 actually check? - teaparty  60.8 #3562 10:46AM
Your expired pass has the same number/bar code, so that's probably why it worked. It scanned as valid. No comment on letting someone else use your pass. Lol. - disney42dude(CM)  521.7 #222 10:48AM
If Disney catches someone using ur pass, it's no questions asked, they will revoke your pass for the remainder of the pass life and they also can say u are unable to renew until X date. If you live this place and respect it, don't do it. It's not work loosing ur AP for the year. - PlaidCM  186.4 #1795 11:04AM
Exactly what I was thinking plaidCM. I could never let someone in with my pass. I'd be too scared to lose it ... Disney is awesome and makes it pretty afforrdable now that they have the monthly payments. I teach in a low income neighborhood... Some of my students don't have much but they do have annual passes- even if it is the least expensive... N e ways I just think it's unethical and too risky to let people use ur pass :/ - vanGoghsStarryNight  37.1 #4096 1:08PM
I know brothers who use one pass. I'm always afraid they're going to get caught. Whenever someone asks if they could borrow my pass I just tell them I didn't make my payment for the month yet :) that usually shuts them up lol - MayBie  1864.2 #40 1:19PM
